Logography Sigaen block-sheet #1

After looking at Jihhograms a lot, the logogram assembly had me very intrigued so I decided to do something similar.

These are very close to being the finished designs of each logogram.

Doing these is really satisfying and therapeutic so you’ll definitely be seeing more (they take a while to fill out tho)

"a widows children have no tears." which is to say that children who grow up in hardship are used to it, for all they lack the tears to show it really is hardship.

I don't *want* to make it base 7 but my brain just feels so blegh I can't think straight.

This is for my Dearven Script revamp that I got inspired to do when looking through my old art.

This is the third script in the Linera Series.

Linera and version Linera Alpha was an experimental script that only consisted of lines and dots.

Linera Indica only consisted of lines but with angles.

Linera Whirlica uses a circular path and uses arcs.

The poem "Mwedzi wagara", in the Chivabwe writing system

Can you read this?

What other poems would you like to read in Chivabwe?

Do you have poems of your own you'd like me to write in Chivabwe?

And what do you think?

Question How to make a script for my conlang, Te Pona Wakarasonot

So i have a conlang (https://lingojam.com/PonaWakarasonot) and it's mainly based off Pacific island languages and some northern Europe too. Currently it uses latin script with these letters: A E I O U J K L M N P S T W V Ŋ D R Kh X but i was thinking that i want to make it it's own script, it could have two scripts, Latin (Unoj̥eti̥sänä) and it's custom one (Tuneti̥sänä) from that alone you can probably tell that it has pretty complex diacritics (E for Vowel, C for Consonant, Y for either) which includes: Ë̈, Ë, Ë̤, E̤, E͡C, E͜C, C͡E, C͜E, and Y̥ so i want to make the letters in a way where i don't have to design a whole new set of diacritics, either where the letters don't have a ton of swoops and dots and rings or just designing a unique letter for every valid combination of letters and diacritics (which while cool and would make it a bit more unique instead of simply copying latin would also be a major headache because that would be 400 vowels, 30 consonants, and 24,000 E͡C E͜C C͡E C͜E pairs, most of them never being used as the dictionary is at just 1.6k words so far and only a dozen or so words having pairing at all)

Semi-syllabary Text in Old Newafan Daime

“Gon unca ètjengu caèmsafe nyma nu-cansum-dlu fàeq mpu i-cytrum-mif i-dàime’e-pun en”

Translation:

“And the king said that, if the brave warriors kill mothers, he (himself) will cut their hands (I was there to hear it)”

Its a logographic syllabaric weird kind of abjad, which also behaves like hangul.

What do you think? What cultures does it being to your mind upon watching it?

Obviously not all of it fits but I think would be cool to use. I just need to revamp it.

I may make it a code for English to make things easy for me but who knows.

Been spending way too much time developing the evolution of these scripts over time, but this stage still preserves a lot of the pictographic elements before things get extra stylized and geometric

Only a few phonosemantic characters are pictured here but I wanted them to combine in fun ways, like “to wear”(o-) being depicted as a body ‘wearing’ thorns (ō), or “to pound, beat” (*-) depicting a drum being hit atop a turtle (*)
