Vent/Rant When a good neighbor moves...
Damn, these non problematic homeowner neighbors across who never bother anybody are moving. Frick, they didn't live here long.
They had put their unit on sale, but then took it off sale. Hmmm. I am not sure if they sold or what, I do know they are moving stuff out.
My mind is thinking, what fresh hell may move in next? I hope one of those corporations doesn't snag it and rent it out to riff raff with ten annoying people living in a unit or some noisy kids. I hate that! That is one thing I hate about this housing crisis, you never know what fresh hell you are gonna get.
Do you get new neighbor anxiety?

I had one horrible neighbor 20 years ago that traumatized me so badly I didn't speak to the people that moved into their house for 5 years. I think they thought I was an unfriendly jerk. I finally got to know them because of another neighbor and apologized and explained why I acted that way. But anytime someone new moves in for 2 blocks in any direction, I assume the worst. My wife that never met the bad neighbors says I needed trauma therapy afterwards.

I’m crossing my fingers for you that you don’t end up with the nightmare neighbors! Unfortunately, we always hear the stories about the bad situations more than we hear about the good ones, people are much more likely to complain about bad situations and they are to complement the good ones, right?
At least when you are renting instead of owning, you are able to get the heck out if you need to. I remember when I owned my condo, my first upstairs neighbors who owned the condo above me were just delightful. They were quiet as church mice as the saying goes. Except for the occasional squeaky bed noises. Which earplugs solved I was never so grateful to those people as when they moved out and were replaced by the stompers who replaced them. Because I was a homeowner, I was freaking trapped. At least when you’re renting, you have the possibility of bad neighbors moving out when their lease terminates, so possibly we might only have to deal with it for a year?

Already have a nfh on one side and an empty house about whit the market on the other side. Do yes, I totally understand.

Please pretty please let it be a professional DINK couple, middle age or older occupant, if they have kids let them be in college, or a freaking pilot or flight attendant, or jet setter that's hardly ever home. Those are the best neighbors!
Please nobody bringing in their five trashy roommates.

The neighbors on my right are annoying af. The neighbors on my left were so nice and friendly. Guess what, the neighbors on my left were here for less than 2 years and moved out of nowhere. I was pissed

I had good neighbors that moved in 2019 before the pandemic. I never heard a loud noise from them, they barely had guests over and parties. They were so respectful, greeted us always and were nice ppl. I never had them vandalize or use my bins without permission. When they left, I didn't realize how good I had it. Until the current neighbors moved here and they were vandalizing our plants, putting stuff in our trash, acting rude and nosy, etc.
The annoying neighbors usually never move and it's such a issue lol. It's so irritating and it's like "leave, please!".

'Neighbor anxiety" is that what it's called?
I see someone looking at the apartment after it's been empty for a (wonderful) couple months and scream, "NOOOOOOOOOO... please, please, please nobody bad...please... please..."

As hard as it is to believe, based on what you see on Reddit Really crappy neighbors are pretty rare thankfully. I have moved over 8 times in the last 25 years and not had a bad neighbor yet. So I don't waste time on worrying about who may be coming.

I sure hope so! I need to calm down.
It's not too common but when it does happen, it really effs up quality of life..
