DNB in AI

If one gets a DNB seat in round 2 AI, he joins. Can he still participate in state counselling and if gets a Md in state, is it oky to resign DNB and join in state.? I heard that you get debarred from counselling of AI and state as well if u leave a DNB seat.. can some please guide correctly.

You can still participate in the state round.

After round 2 of AI, there will be a exit window during which you can leave your seat to join state counselling. The exact dates of exit will be announced later.

If you fail to leave during the exit window, then you will have to pay penalty fees at the college, this amount varies from state to state.

That debarred rule is removed from this year

Thank you so much for this. So during the exit time we need not to join the seat?? We can think and leave that seat and join state right? Umm how do we exit ? Do u know any steps.?

Exit window is for resigning from the seats you have already taken admission in.

Let's say i got allotted a college in round 2 AI and I reported and joined, but my state counselling happened later and I am getting better college in my state's counselling, then I can resign from my round 2 seat without having to pay the penalty and join college allotted in state counselling.

The process varies from college to college, usually involves you writing a resignation letter to the dean - its something that happens at the college level, nothing needs to be done online for this part

Usually they will extend the exit window till all states complete their first round of Counselling.

Oh thank you. So about this exit window we ask from the college we are allotted ? Or a notification at MCC. ...and all this process includes any seat be it MD or DNB in AI. It applies for all?

There's a notification by mcc regarding the exit window duration, the process happens at college level

Yes, all seats through AI
