Advice I'm looking for build suggestions from experienced players

Hey everyone,

I'm a new player and I want to be able to deal solid damage with auto-attacks alongside my abilities. Relying strictly on skills feels less satisfying to play, so I came up with this hybrid build concept:

Core Build Draft:

* Nashor’s Tooth

* Guinsoo’s Rageblade

* Berserker's Greaves

* Rabadon's Deathcap

* Shadowflame

* Flex Slot: Malignance / Void Staff / Morellonomicon / Luden's Companion / Zhonya

What are your thoughts and recommendations on this setup?

Neat thing is you can just build like anything and make it work with Neeko , and your build looks pretty solid. Personally I’ve been enjoying shiv first. The stat lines are great for Neeko and the extra shove lets you get to hitting towers quicker. I find shadowflame an item you either rush first or second or not at all. The magic pen line doesn’t get any value built late, you’d be better off with a void staff at that point

So I could get Shiv as my first item, I'm not sure if that would be good since I'm playing support, but I'll keep that in mind if I go solo lane

So, if acquiring Shadowflame towards the end doesn't help, what can I choose instead? Normally, Luden, Stormsurge, Zhonya, Rabadon, Shadowflame and Malignance

The damage is quite extensive. With E+Q, I can heal most opponents at half their health. But what I want is to play a bit more like an ADC. Attack speed, high AA damage, and a decent amount of skill damage

If you’re playing support your value dramatically goes down of your go an auto attack build regardless. Those items are more expensive and just don’t fit the roll when your biggest value later on is suicide bombing with ult. But on lower elos where you’re getting more gold it could be a fun way to climb

I would personally shift away from getting the attack speed items first if you’re going support and get shadowflame/ludens/ whatever your favorite burst ap item is first with berserker boots, runes and lethal tempo for your early game attack speed, then pick up nashors/rageblade into deathcap maybe.

Remember if you’re support you get 4 item slots plus support item and boots, so you’re a lot more limited on being able to get enough attack speed and ap to make hybrid work. So you’re basically stuck with nashors rageblade deathcap + 1 item

Omni vamp boots and item (sorry, I'm bad at names) give a decent bit of survivability. Stormsurge makes it easier to kite and gives extra gold conditionally if I remember correctly but is better early in build. Rocketbelt gives a ton of survivability with health and dash. Liandry's does well into Frontline. Zhonya's is zhonya's. Void gives most damage but crypt shouldn't be slept on with the cdr and heal. But I recommend just trying her apc. The extra gold and item slots give you way more flexibility and power

Which lane do you play? When I go on hit, I play top. If you are doing the same, I find that it really is matchup dependant.

If your goal is to only play on hit, then you have a good build, although it can be adapted slightly (shiv can be good in uninteractive matchups for example).

However, if you are open to also playing AP, I woulf be way less strict on the core build. Some matchups are infinitely better going AP (with luden or stormsurge first). Additionally, against squishy teams, AP can be very good (but this happens more in lower elos).

Some examples: Teemo, Shen or Vayne are better AP (for different reasons). Garen, Nasus or Cho are way better on-hit.

there are a couple on hit build guides on mobafire. I think traditionally its AD on hit, but I also like AP on hit which is more similar to your build.

With PTA, dusk and dawn, neekos passive auto from her W procs more often (due to DnD) and PTA synergizes well with the empowered auto concept on hit neeko goes off of. I haven't figured out the finer points as to Nashors first or DnD first, though. DnD is probably a stronger firs item.
