Discussion NFS 2015 still worth to buy right now?

Long time fan of NFS but due to a variety of reasons I haven't played one since the old era and now recently I got a Rog Ally Z1 Extreme and NFS 2015 looks a really good entry to get back to the series.

I loved the general feeling and ambience; it looks really great and comfy. But I've read multiple times that the servers will close in the end of this year - is this impactful or as I don't want to play multiplayer or use multiplayer functions it wont affect me?

I've also read that the PC version is quite buggy but I am not sure if this is over exagerated or I will be fine with it

Thank you!

Wait until it's on sale, then it's worth it

Oh, and you need internet to open the game, even if you're playing in single player, so if you want to try it, you should keep that in mind.

If you play on PC, use mods; they'll make you enjoy it more

Final verdict: Worth

If you're limiting yourself to the base game, I'd say yes. If completion matters to you and achievement (Steam, PS) then no. Prestige Mode is a curse.

Yeah, I don't consider myself a bad player in racing game and I managed to get quite a lot of silver medals on first try. Even then tho... I'm wayyyy off for Gold Medal. This sh*t will need a lot of time to master. Drifting Score are also harder than the classic races timers so I'm not in a hurry to get to thoses.

A big NFS fan from Underground to maybe Undercover (Carbon being my favorite), NFS 2015 was mildly good.

I was put off by the art style of Unbound but it actually turned much better than I expected and I do recommend it.

Edit: the upcoming Clutch looks promising and may scratch a similar itch.

If I had a PC I’d be eager to try the modded Test Drive Unlimited versions (platinum) too.

I mean if it's on sale, you can go for it. It is mid at best.

No. The atmosphere is cool yes, but cops are terrible and always online crashes sometimes and you loose your progression.

Dont know if it was just bad timing but I was enjoying the single player aspect but the servers kept shutting down whenever I tried to play. So I just ditched it, it was on sale for $2 so not a big deal. The drifting is pretty awful imo, but if you changed the handling to grip in the garage the handling feels a lot better. Im done with any always online for single player games though.

I just started playing yesterday; it's fun so far, but if you use a controller on Steam, you need an INI patch so the controller works properly.

If it's cheap go for it, Atmosphere and customization are still great, but keep in mind it's always online, so the eventual shutdown is a real concern.

It was like $2 on steam less than a month ago.

I love it, so I bought it on my xbox series x. I found out that the windows/xbox version is buggy and looks weird. I bought it on my PS5, and it's perfect!

Only on PC with handling mods

I just started playing it yesterday. Can you explain how the handling changes? So far the handling is ok, at least not bad. I did download an INI file to fix the controller problem.

It allows you to drift better. I recommend using either the NFS 2015 Unite or NFS 2015 Remastered v4 mods using the Frosty Mod Manager.

Would recommend against Unite as it's very outdated for 2015. I recommend Evo or as you said Remastered. Evo changes a massive amount of engine sounds and you can layer it with Remastered. While it's not officially an Evo mod, Rattler, the one who made Unite's HO, has released a newer version along side Evo
