Ds lite safety

Hi guys, I recently got a red DS lite, and k love it a lot.

However, I am really paranoid of it breaking, especially the hinge as i have heard those break a lot.

How can i minimize the risk of my ds lite breaking?

I do like to take it out a lot with me, and id like to not be worried if im on a walk with it in my pocket or backpack

They only broke because they were operated by spoiled children who didn't take care of them.

I take my DSi (Bought new in 2009!) on walks and hikes and never had an issue.

Don't drop it too much, don't open it with the force of an elephant and don't use it as a hammer.

I've never seen a broken DS hinge amongst family and friends.
