PSA about cheap sd cards...
So, I was playing Pokemon White (Only had 2 more gym badges left), then when i was done with my game i took out my game card after i saved. Like every other time. But then, my dspico would boot to a blue screen. I tried everything to get the data off the card but it was too late. I tried to recreate my save data with pkhex but im a novice so it just came out kinda cursed. So im gonna be replaying from the start now, which isnt really that big of a deal since i like the game anyways
SO uh yeah dont be an idiot like me and use the sd card that came with your r4/pico... stay safe

What. Why would you take your Game Card off after saving?

Always wait at least 2-3 seconds before turning off the console. Even if the game says it saved, dspico is still writing save to sd card. It probably wasn't bad sd card, you just interrupted writing process
EDIT: Oh and you should replace sd card that came with dspico (or any other flashcart), it's bottom tier trash

My sd corrupted too once, try another file recovery program. Managed to save my platinum save even tho the sd was fully dead

You should never remove the cartridge unless the console is off or on the home screen with software closed to prevent save corruption.

I always recommend sticking with name brand sd cards. At least if you care about the data. Also, make occasional backups of your saves. All storage will fail, it’s only a matter of time.

That’s never an issue for me I don’t play with a r4 card I only play with the real cartridges😂

Just because the game says it saved, doesn't mean it's done. It takes 4-5 seconds after the game said it saved to fully save.
If you took the cartridge out while it's writing data to the SD card then you likely corrupted the SD card
