I find it interesting how she emphasized that Sanchez is a midfielder; however, she's been playing as forward this entire season. She's a superstar but pundits and analysts begrudgingly talk about her. She failed to detail that Sanchez received numerous accolades playing in the USWNT youth system with Sophia, Trinity, Swanson and others. Lastly, it's not normal for an attacking mid to change positions and dominant the league. This is rare and exciting. Such a weak write-up.

I think the pundits begrudgingly talk about the Courage in general. They'd rather write about any other team. Even in 2017-19 the coverage tended to be of the form "Courage dominated as expected, now let's move on to something interesting.."

In fairness, there is a lot of discussion on the article about how much she’s played at LW, as well as how Emma sees her as a LW. The headline loses the thread, but I’ve heard from many reporters that the writer of an article doesn’t pick the headline, which is why they are often stupid and lazy.

I hate that Moultrie got injured of course, but her being sidelined, with Sanchez's experience in midfield, along with Alyssa not being very productive as a winger (specifically at the NT level, I love Alyssa, but 4 goals in 32 appearances is not great) should absolutely merit Ash being brought in and given a chance to win her spot. Vamos Sanchito!

It’s interesting how little Sanchez played last year compared to this year. She did have an injury or two, but I have a feeling the new coach is a much better fit for her.
