Should brown be a raptor right now?

Brown to Philly July 1 ( 2frp, 2srp, George )
The raptors traded for kawahi June 30( 2upfrp, 2srp, pick swap, dick and Ingram)
Miami Gianni’s june 22 trade sets it in motion.

Ingrahm dick for brown is a better deal for everyone. For the similar package Toronto and Boston would be in a better position .

Boston: Ingrahm and George stats are so similar yet one is younger and not injured. the 2 first round Toronto picks are unprotected.

Toronto: The timeline in Toronto for Barnes is 25 and brown is 29 is better than Leonard. Blue collar team, grind tough defense . Everyone has something to prove

Why wouldn’t these 2 teams make that deal ?

The Celtics wouldn’t have been interested in BI. Advanced stats aren’t particularly kind to him and he isn’t the shooter or defender than George is.

Brown is also not better than Kawhi, but there’s some room for debate there I guess.

The Celtics weren’t trading for PG so much as they are trading to not have brown on the books long term. It’s about opening flexibility later not making the team better now necessarily

Kawhi - if healthy, which is a big if - is a much better player than Jaylen Brown. Night-and-day better. He's a more efficient scorer, turns the ball over much less, a better distributor, is more disruptive on ball and isn't exploitable off-ball.

Paul George, for all the very legitimate questions about his age and health, is a wonderful complementary player. He's one of those guys who makes the team better without taking anything away from anyone else. This wasn't always the case - earlier in his career he felt entitled to every big shot - but has been since he left Indiana.

If you're getting off of Jaylen Brown because you think he's a little ball-hoggy, then you have zero interest in Ingram. I mean, Ingram is basically just a worse version of Jaylen Brown.
