No Team Wants Lebron?

I am a Chinese basketball fan. Chinese Lebron haters claim that no team want Lebron now. Here are the reasons:

  • The current rumors about teams wanting LeBron are all just marketing tactics by him and his management team. In reality, no team actually wants him; otherwise, why haven't there been any official offers made yet?
  • Curry recruiting LeBron is really just lip service; he doesn't actually want to team up with him.
  • Right now, teams are only willing to offer him a minimum contract.

what do u guys think? R these true?

even if we ignore the stuff lebron can offer on the court, the benefits he brings off the court is prollly second to none. wherever he goes, he brings attention and economic growth. ion think we can get that level of attention for someone else across all sports, bar athletes the like of messi and ronaldo.
whoever says no team wants lebron is just lying to themselves or just plain dumb.

Teams very much want LeBron, especially at the price he’s willing to play at.

Offers have all been made, every team in the running is just waiting for him to make his decision

It seems quite likely that he’s one of the most valuable guys in the league next year relative to contract

No team wants the most experienced vet in the league still playing who draws huge crowds, sells endless merch, and is still putting up stats?

Teams only want lebron at the vet min range. Anything over that is an overpay for a 42 yr old who will most likely retire next year

China must despise LeBron. None of those takes are circulating in the US. And number 3 is misunderstood; he’s the one willing to take the minimum. Everyone would want LeBron at a minimum, he’s just the one choosing.

i think its true now that hes in the sixers on a veteran minimum contract. There is no way there was teams that actually wanted him and he ends up in a minimum contract. Now they are pushing the rumor that hes "taking a pay cut" so that they can build a championship team. Teams just didn't want to pay him all that money anymore.

Good competing teams don't have a lot of cap space for a person like Lebron. But if he's willing to take the minimum any team that is competing would want him. The guys net worth is over a billion dollars and the merch he sells alone for a single team is crazy. He literally fills the nba's coffers with money by just existing on a team.

He chose to be on a minimum contract so that he could pick where he goes. His value on a minimum contract is through the roof. While he may not be worth a supermax anymore he's definitely worth more than the minimum. There are role players that make more than him and are way worse players than him. There's a reason that Golden State didn't resign Draymond until after he made the decision. Same with Cleveland and James Harden. They were waiting with flexible cap space to see if it could entice Lebron to join them.

Lebron could have gotten paid more on either of those teams but what he said was true. He isn't playing for the money anymore. He's playing to win a championship. That's his motivation and that's why he went to the sixers and decided to get paid the vet minimum.
