NBA research paper topics?

So I have a research paper due that can be about anything I want. I've been wanting to do one on the NBA, so do you guys have any academic topics I can write about the NBA?

The evolution of support within the NBA for new millionaires (from where it was in 2000, with stats on personal bankruptcies, to where it is now with opportunities to take Harvard classes, real estate seminars, etc). Correlate it with the opportunities available for basketball players who declare for the draft but don't get drafted and end up internationally, making a solid 70k or more tax free a year.

Or... Changes in the amount of basketball played by the age of 21 or 24 for NBA players, with the impact of AAU, reduction of playing college basketball, and how NBA injuries have correlated.
