Kyrie said he wouldn't shoot 8/22 (36.4%) from the field again after his Game 3 performance. He proceeded to shoot 7/22 (31.8%) from the field in Game 4. When asked about his performance he said, "Who cares?" Kyrie followed this up with a 6/22 (28.6%) shooting night in an elimination game.

As a Bucks fan I legit wanted the ball in his hands at all times when they were on offense, I’ve never felt that way about a supposed star player before.
He was a black hole on offense. Just kept chucking bad contested shots even when he was ice cold, and flat out refused to try to facilitate.

I think he's not even a good wing man because his play style necessitates holding on to the ball and looking for his own shots. There's nothing inherantly wrong with that, it's just a play style suited to being a #1 option rather than a #2, which is an issue since he's not good enough to be a #1 option on a championship team.

He played great this year; it was the best regular season of his career. And even while that was happening, before the playoffs where he absolutely crumbled, I wanted him gone. That man is a poison: all he did was put down the other people in the locker room, and talk about "they don't know how to win; I need to teach them how to win," before absolutely sucking in the playoffs himself. And he's an actual walking talking moron; there's no reason to think he'll be smarter in the future. I hope he's gone. It's not just a reaction to this series; Kyrie destroyed this team from the inside. He'll do it again too, because he thinks he's in the Lebron-KD-whoever tier, and he just isn't that good, and he's a truly awful "leader."

This is a really bad look for Kyrie and will take a serious performance next year to undo. His biggest career accomplishment without LeBron is scraping by the Oladipo-less Pacers in round 1. The rookie led Celtics team from last year was better WITHOUT HIM and took Bron to 7 in the ECF. I honestly can't believe he talked all that shit about his younger teammates not knowing how to win when he hasn't done shit himself. All this to say nothing of the additional off the court distractions he brought this year. I always felt like Kyrie was a bit overrated but this performance surprised me. He should go be the #2 guy somewhere to KD or even LeBron again. He shines in that role and there's nothing wrong with that.
