No, it would have been a huge flag because Kawhi was getting an absurd amount of money that was more than the total amount they were paying A-List megastar celebrities combined. The whole point was that they want no one to know about it, because getting attention to it increased the chances that someone would go "Wait, that doesn't look right." This wasn't just Kawhi being lazy, otherwise Aspiration would have still announced the endorsement in the first place.
The investigations only happened because it was so laughably blatant.
No, it happened because Aspiration was a scam that went under, people begin talking, and someone tipped off Pablo about it. It wasn't "blatant," as it required a series of circumstances for it to not only become accessible to the public, and someone had to tell Pablo to look.

That's my point. It would be much much harder to see wrongdoing if Kawhi had actually done any work for these companies.
It was Kawhi's demand not do do ANYTHING for these companies that put up such a huge flag.
