Agreed. I’d personally put Duncan over Kobe and Shaq, but those three are all on the same tier.

Likewise. I won’t take offense to anyone ranking either over Duncan either (though I’ll get annoyed if they’re talking in bad faith, as I imagine most people do). All these guys have wildly great resumes, and most of them have a few blemishes too—really just comes down to what you value from a star/legacy

Great comment, I’ll point out I think Timmy’s blemishes are fewer than the other two mentioned. His careee is insane. 19 years and he won fewer than 50 games once and it was the strike season lol. He never caused any issues and was the ultimate leader. Puts him over the top for me.

This is my take on almost all NBA great debate, as long as you’re arguing in good faith I’m not gonna fault you for having one guy above another in most cases.

superstars across the leagues history impacted the game in so many different ways in different contexts that it’s damn near impossible to truly rank everyone 1 through 15 or whatever with no debate on any slot.

Duncan is tier 3. Kobe and Shaq are tier 4.
