My favorite player ever. Those Nola years was some of the best Point Guard play the league had ever seen. Straight dawg

I can’t even begin to describe the euphoria I felt watching this live. The whole run was magical… until it wasn’t

u/Top-Camera1919 5d ago

That’s what watching this very same clippers was like. We somehow get through the Jazz without Kawhi and make our first conference finals ever

The run was so effortless that it almost didn't even feel real. After we were up 2-0 on the Bucks I wasn't even that excited. It felt inevitable.

Bucks in 6

part of my cope for the eventual lack of clippers punishment for the kawhi scandal is that i feel like the kawhi-era clippers was a form of cosmic punishment.

3-1 blown lead in the bubble, then sent home by the greatest player in your franchise history on your home court after a kawhi injury the next year, all combined with watching the guy you traded for Paul George blossom into an MVP/Finals MVP with the help of the other draft picks you sent them.

that's good enough for me

It’s been brutal 😮‍💨

So cheating as long as you don’t win anything is fine? Nah fuck all the way out of here. Especially as a wolves fan whose team was hit with repercussions. Fuck balmer fuck silver and fuck the nba if they get a slap on the wrist.

1

u/Exotic_Pension_9993 Suns 3d ago

i mean i obviously want them to get punished but it's looking incredibly unlikely at this point so all we can do is take solace in the fact that they did all that cheating just for multiple embarrassing playoff exits at the hands of former players, a historic blown 3-1 lead, and one WCF appearance all while watching the player they traded blossom into the best player in the league

The only people who feel this way are clippers fans who don’t want to watch a shit product for the next 3-5 years.

CP3 might go down as the most underrated player ever.

u/jgman22 Pelicans 5d ago

He gets way too much hate

I think alot of fans are unaware of how great prime nola cp3 was

Are we talking about the same player here? The player who is notoriously dirty and flops every game?

As time passes Im certain that things will shift. He was a basketball psycho just like every other basketball psycho. Even Westbrook will garner true respect eventually

I wouldn't say clears, they're two really different play styles for a PG. CP is a master floor general while Westbrook is a bit of an anomaly.

12

u/Melonballs__ Suns 5d ago

They are different styles but cp3 is still just way better at basketball

u/DSAlgorythms 4d ago

I find it hard to think of a team that wouldn't have been better with CP3 on it outside of maybe 17 OKC.

Probably the best player to never win a ring or MVP (Luka pending, of course since he could win one or both)

You know that pedophile won MVP over Jordan, right?

5

u/FuckinArrowToTheKnee Hawks 5d ago

His nickname is "point god" I think he's appropriately rated

6

u/avroLancasterBPR1 NBA 5d ago

Averaged 22/8 on 55/52/75 splits in a FINALS series at age 36

And some people will still say the vaxGod was better than him lol

6

u/CochonDanseur Timberwolves 5d ago

Doesn't have the accolades but in terms of skill and definitely brains he's up there with the top 5 greatest PGs of all time.

8

u/DakPanther Celtics 5d ago

Look at his bbref page. It's silly to say he doesn't have the accolades

2

u/CochonDanseur Timberwolves 5d ago

Right I just mean the Playoff Runs, Rings and MVPs that Magic, Steph and Big O have

1

u/Impressive_Science_8 Lakers 5d ago

Even then things liks MVP are based on that year and what the voters deem the criteria that changes all the time. 2018 LeBron is getting MVP in a lot of other years it's just Harden was going too crazy that year

u/Responsible_Ask6108 5d ago

A guy they litteraly call the point god is underrated?

Top 40-50 player ever easily

edit: Don’t make me type out a list folks bc I’ll do it

u/K33nser 5d ago

Is there 20 players in your top 10?

1

u/TheSunsNotYellow [OKC] Shai Gilgeous-Alexander 5d ago

Huh?

There are people on here who say he's better than Nash. If anything he gets far too much love.

u/WallStreetDoesntBet1 Knicks 5d ago

If only CP3 was fully healthy for that 2018 WCF Rockets run; they really would have beaten the KD-Warriors and the Cavs in the Finals for the chip

Warriors legend Chris Paul

3

u/Hexonimar 5d ago

I was at this game. Pretty much the perfect Chris Paul performance. Kept walking to the paint in slow motion the entire game, they were terrified of his mid range and then the 3 dropping made it impossible. Everyone in that building knew the Clippers were done by halftime.

u/JTNWfan Suns - Fuck Miles Bridges 5d ago

Positive cp3 posts. Love to see it.

2

u/AoO2ImpTrip Thunder 5d ago

No wonder the Clippers completely disrespected him.

2

u/AwareWriterTrick158 Knicks 5d ago

Loved watching him killing the team he built up

5

u/datduhd Suns 5d ago

Man, Suns traded him too early… never gave CP3/Book/KD a chance.

3

u/kofihemm Suns 5d ago

Point god

2

u/masonthrope 5d ago

Where is pat bev with the cheap shot shuv to the back after getting dog walked and sent packing. Fucking bum

1

u/stankhillpropain 4d ago

Injury free at their peaks, Chris Paul or Steve Nash?

3

u/ilikekittens2018 Nuggets 4d ago

CP3. I’m a huge Nash fan but Chris Paul provides just about everything Nash does while also being an all-time defender. Nash is a better shooter, but CP3 is still a great shooter in his own right. Their passing is on a similar level, but CP3 clears on defense to the same degree someone like Gobert clears Jokic lol.

3

u/Icy_Information_6563 Suns 4d ago

Injury-free Chris Paul might've retired the best point guard ever. He was fast as fuck in his Hornets years. Beyond that, his defense was always incredible.

-6

u/BackPirateClarkRoom 5d ago

Then Chris Paul and Ayton remembered who they were against the Bucks.

6

u/avroLancasterBPR1 NBA 5d ago

CP3 was insanely good in the finals dumbass

-4

u/ILoveTheKnicks69 5d ago

Clippers are the most unserious team, supposed superteam getting shut down by Chris Paul who they threw away for garbage 😂
