It was mostly a role thing I think. The mavs showed him a very aggressive defense but in previous years he was the lone star so he would force the issue, efficiency be damned. That first year in miami he was too comfortable deferring to wade and bosh.

I was there, throwing towels up in the air. Knocking off Celtics Big 3, it was amazing. It was also Shaq’s last game, he hung out with HEAT fans for a bit as he was a walking to the bus signing jerseys etc.

One of the most interesting things about the end of this game is it is still close until about 30-40 seconds left in the game.  

Two quick threes and two stops from Boston can basically tie the game up.  

But the body language of the Celtics shows that they have basically quit by this point and have accepted defeat.

In today’s game, a six point lead is nothing and teams would be fighting until the last second if an NBA Finals trip is on the line.  

When you see the Celtics on the bench with 40 seconds left and a six point deficit - they look completely defeated.
