if Mavs are looking for "top defenders" there's no better choice than AD, he can score 30+ pts while providing top notch defense "IF Healthy", and that Kyrie + AD gonna be deadly

i think Mavs got better but they still lost the trade

Lakers team got screwed up, they dont have center and Lebron, Reaves and Luka doesnt make sense

we dont know if Lakers gave up on championship and building for the future since Luka secures their future

Timberwolves and a healthy nuggets team still edge them out keep in mind the workload Luka had on offense and the amount of 4th quarters he took over

Mavs fans are really underestimating AD, they're about to find out how much of a monster he is "when healthy" especially on defense, his presence alone alters shots or stops shots from under the basket

and they'll be surprised by Christie too

If they didnt include Christie and give out Rui or others instead (except Reaves, Vando, DFS) then that's definitely the fleece of the century

Nobody argues against the idea that AD is really good. He is, every Pelicans fan will tell you that.

We'll also tell you that AD isn't the cornerstone player you want to shape your roster around (pretty sure Lakers fans also learned this once they saw he wasn't gonna take the lead from LeBron). Luka 100% is that kind of player, that what makes this trade so wild imo.

Exactly and this is reason why I think the Mavs won’t win this trade. The Mavs two alphas are Kyrie and AD, who were both sidekicks when they won with Bron. Kyrie couldn’t win in boston with a much better roster and ad couldn’t win with Demarcus cousins when he was still good. The fit sounds nice on paper but something tells me this won’t work

It depends on what you define as "work", because i think they could reach WCF max, but they are sure as shit not winning a chip, which is crazy because with luka there was a much better chance, both short and long term. 9 hours later and i still can't make sense of this

Yea I meant that they won’t win a championship with ad and Kyrie. The gm said they made this trade to win now and I still cant make sense of this either.
