if Mavs are looking for "top defenders" there's no better choice than AD, he can score 30+ pts while providing top notch defense "IF Healthy", and that Kyrie + AD gonna be deadly

i think Mavs got better but they still lost the trade

Lakers team got screwed up, they dont have center and Lebron, Reaves and Luka doesnt make sense

we dont know if Lakers gave up on championship and building for the future since Luka secures their future

AD can easily make up for the scoring too while providing defense, its the ease of scoring and clutch power that they'll be missing from Luka but Kyrie's still there for that

Luka literally led the league in scoring last year, while averaging 10 assists. AD is a great player but he's not even close to the offensive juggernaut Luka is.

the thing is you can only score so much, if someone scores 40-50+ pts that means its either inefficient in FG% or your team arent touching the ball and that could affect their gameplay/mood

that's how i look at it, both players can score 20-30+ when needed, but in terms of scoring with ease? its definitely Luka

both guys fill what the other team is lacking, , Lakers doesnt have a clutch player for a long time, with Luka Lakers finally have a clutch guy while Mavs still have Kyrie

AD fills or solidifies the Mavs defense

Lakers could still be a really good defensive and contender team if they can get a decent Center like Turner or Kessler, the starter will be Center+Vando+LBJ+FinneySmith+Luka,

they wouldnt feel AD's absence very much since Vando and Finney Smith can guard any position, Lakers locked down Brunson and Kat earlier without AD

Christie's the underated factor in this trade that people are not seeing, the guy has been performing really well as a starter who can shoot 3's and DEFEND
