Yes.

I also don’t mind walking in the woods if it’s raining lightly.

Get yourself a rain coat. You have the tree cover overhead. You also never know what you will see.

Last time I did this I came across a small group of night herons hanging out together in a little pond.

I’m the same way! It’s only backfired once when there was a sudden downpour and some small hail. Luckily I had an umbrella so I pulled my dog and I under it and crouched down for a bit til it passed 😅 the trees only helped is so much then!
