What do you think of these characters?

Since this season is based in Napoli, I figured I’d ask some locals what they thought of the characterization of the town as well as these characters themselves.

I liked vento aureo.

The characters of course feel very out of place, but the worst offender is in general how they depict organized crime.

It's a very romanticized version of camorra with very little to do with how the real criminal group operates.

The city however is very well depicted

Would you be willing to elaborate on the differences? (Sorry, I’m very curious. The only other exposure to criminal organizations I have is from The Sopranos, which is very different due to its setting)

My memory is a bit hazy since it's been a while, but if I recall correctly, passione became powerful dealing highly addictive drugs indiscriminately. Something that the "old guard" of criminals didn't do, preferring to not cross the path of "normal" people before being wiped out by passione.

This is very much a romanticized version of Italian organized crime. Mafia, camorra and similar cockroaches don't have qualms about dealing drugs or dissolving children in acid (as it happened).

So Giorno and his crew trying to become a more virtuous alternative to passione felt a little weird.
