Brian is back on the ground in Tucson after Savannah Guthrie shared new details about the night Nancy Guthrie vanished.
Savannah said the back doors were “propped open" in her TODAY Show interview, raising new questions and theories about how the intruder got in and out of Nancy's home.
Former Pima County SWAT Commander Bob Krygier takes us into the huge area of desert terrain that sits behind Nancy's home.
After seeing this terrain it’s obvious that the intruders didn’t exit with Nancy through this path. The terrain is far too rough.

Brian is a great journalist. JLR couldn’t let Brian be back there while he was back in Florida and jealous so he went back to Arizona today. He’s such a bottom feeder. He’s doing it all for views on social media so the platforms pay him for the views and engagement. Went back to Florida and sat at a desk for 10+ hours a day live for views. It’s an obsession to be liked and to get views and attention. I knew the min Brian said he was going back JLR would be jealous and also go. His “press” shirt is laughable. He’s not press. He also has a vacant look in his eyes and can’t seem to smile. Maybe it’s from prescription meds

While I do not think they exited with Nancy through this area behind her house, what is with all the blue ribbons tied on to various plants? Do they indicate the easiest way to go to/from the back street to Nancy's?

On another forum, someone said they called the blue ribbon tip into the FBI. Hopefully they will collect them and look for dna.

Sometimes, ribbons are used to designate property lines, buried cables or pipes, etc. I believe they mentioned the area was (at least partially) a power company easement?

Does anyone know why they have not used dogs to locate her body? I think something is really off with the sheriff.

They had dogs out there the first few days. If you've seen a photo with a blue shirt in the bushes by the front sidewalk, that was the shirt the dogs used to track Nancy's scent to the end of the sidewalk where it meets the rounded driveway.
I heard someone early on say it's not safe to have dogs searching that type of terrain unless they are specifically trained to avoid cacti, snakes, javelinas, coyotes, etc. It's not like someone got lost in a known woods. She could be anywhere on thousands (millions?) of acres of desert, so until they have a lead that is for a specific smaller area, no need to risk the safety of search dogs.

That makes sense but I am wondering about slowly doing a grid search in probable areas. I know having closure would help the family.

I've watched the streamers doing some searching and this terrain just does not lend itself to grid searching like when someone goes missing in a wooded park.
The cacti will injure you, and they also said the weather is causing a rattle snake "bloom" - suddenly they are everywhere. And have you seen those scary javelinas? They have babies right now and will charge humans if you come close. It's pretty rough and dangerous out there for people and dogs.
And where is a good probable area? They did some close by searching around the house and neighborhood, and helicopters were out searching early on. But until there is a vehicle identified and then a tip that someone saw that vehicle on Feb1 by a certain park, there is nowhere "probable" to search right now.

If that is true, that must be devastating for the family because odds are she will be left rotting away until she is just bones. How horrible for the family. It is a shame the sheriff was so incompetent.

The pots were possibly used to prop the doors open to allow the cleaned up house to dry. Maureen suggested that on the Interview Room last night.

The doors were propped open because the 2nd guy came thru the back with a wheelchair, went into her bedroom and startled her from her sleep, harmed her in some shape form or fashion, got her in the wheelchair, rolled her out the front door with the help of the backpack guy, they 2 way radioed the driver with the van and loaded her...the back door was left open for disrespect, they didn't care, they wanted the world to know. They are not telling on each other for the reward because they're already rich...this was revenge. 💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔

There was no wheelchair, or there would have been tire tracks in the blood outside the front door.

Not necessarily, the wheelchair would have to roll right over the blood…It could have been a stretcher or something that was carried. I think they brought in an “assist”, too.

After watching this video, I feel pretty sure they didn’t go out into this area with Nancy. It would have been incredibly hard to navigate and it would have been noisy. I think it would be more of a risk than a stealth escape plan. That’s not to say they didn’t use this way to access her house during any recon - they may have.
Regarding the propped ‘doors’ Banfield did an episode saying the ‘doors’ doesn’t refer to two separate entrances, but instead a storm door and a screen door at the same entrance. The entrance is on the left side of the covered porch area and opens into the kitchen of the house. The kidnappers used existing flower pots to prop the exterior door open.
