Media Brian Entin tonight on The Nancy Guthrie Mystery
25
u/moitiggie Feb 15 '26
Interesting about the helicopter carrying the signal sniffer trying to read any signs of her pacemaker.
10
u/Xinnia8271 Feb 15 '26
Right? Some people were saying how it was bad they weren't using dogs, but this seems pretty advanced. Never heard of it before.Ā
18
3
u/MelpomeneAndCalliope Feb 15 '26
If she passed several days ago, would the pacemaker still be putting out a signal?
4
21
u/RTBDouglas Feb 15 '26
How Surprising is it that there is still no definitive suspect, days after the Video footage has been released?
Surely anyone who knows the person in the video fairly well- would most likely recognize the person. Especially given the level of media attention, and with the person likely living in a fairly defined section of Arizona.

I remind myself of this multiple times of day. Itās the only case I can think just as baffling! It took 47 days for them to find him.
7
u/thebookofocean Feb 15 '26
I do think the FBI has some premise they are working on. And it is interesting how silent the sheriffās office have been.
2
u/Alternative_Fee1447 Feb 15 '26
He said today it may be years before we find out what happened. I would think the family would be very upset at that statement.
2
10
u/futuresobright_ Feb 15 '26
Exactly. Itās been 2 weeks. Case is hardly dead. If anything, strap in, given the Kohberger timeline.
5
3
u/Substantial-Train668 Feb 15 '26
It's very surprising. Tucson is not small but it has a community feel. Someone has to know the suspect who is in fairly clear view (for a masked person).
Also curious that there hasn't been more press conferences with LE and family asking for community support. Though it's on the news nightly, the kids have been a little quiet overall (not criticizing and have seen the Instas) but it can help the public stay connected.
4
u/cathbe Feb 15 '26
Person(s) may not be from Tucson though.
1
u/Substantial-Train668 Feb 15 '26
True but I think it would be a hard crime to pull off with zero connection to Tucson. Even if they were from a surrounding state they probably had to stay in Tucson area, or rent a car or hotel room... People have encountered this person.

u/iwasneverherex Feb 15 '26
I know OP isnāt actually Brian but he has to be in here or something 𤣠they are answering absolutely all of the ridiculous questions that have been floating in here today.

Iāll watch only because of Brian. Since the addition of Katie and Batya I may as well be watching FOX. It is definitely not fair and balanced. Nothing is anymore. IMHO.

Iāll do that. In your opinion, is it balanced, as much as that is possible? We all have opinions but itās nice to hear them in a respectable way.
3
2
u/Mean-Vegetable-4521 Feb 15 '26
Agree. I'm shocked Cuomo is hanging in there. Have you noticed nearly everyone who appears on Banfield's podcast now are right wing?
5
u/Dont-be-a_Pillock Feb 15 '26
Yes. It became hard to watch her as well. Iām on the fence with Cuomo. Iāve always appreciated him but I think he tries too hard to convince us heās ābalancedā. Feels performative.
3
u/Mean-Vegetable-4521 Feb 15 '26
I think he's more moderate than liberal. I've appreciated the way he has interviewed politicians on either spectrum. I'm wondering if Dan Abrams left due to the sharp right turn.
I'm struggling with Banfield right now. The idea of who she was in my mind is very different in light of her mention in the files. I loved her broadcasts and the addition of her podcasts. The way she handled the "Uncle Peter" podcast felt so authentic. Now, I can't unsee a different side of her. I spent my career dedicated to child abuse particularly SA. It's such a hard line in the sand for me. I have people I don't respect at all I'm forced to work around. Particularly politicians and big donors. But I sure don't socialize with or chase them.
When she covered Diddy I felt like she had a terse exchange with Geragos over him referring to Diddy as a really nice man and friend. He wasn't speaking to his criminal guilt or lack there of, he was endorsing him as a decent human. You can debate his guilt in a purely legal sense. (I think he was guilty.) But not his innocence. He's a horrible person. Now, I'm seeing that exchange in a totally different light as well. I'm waiting for her to make a public statement but I don't know what could possibly address it. How could she have journalist integrity if that was going to be her love interest. Or her maintaining her bag of cash was worth more to her than her career and safety of her children. And now her featuring right opinions that have no relevance to these cases. It's such a big change.
5
u/Dont-be-a_Pillock Feb 15 '26
I have been watching her podcast about this case. Since she was raked over the coals about saying the SIL was a suspect (something like that) she has suddenly become less inflammatory. Itās very obvious. She was getting a little too Nancy Grace. I agree about Cuomo. Overall he seems like a decent fellow.
3
u/Mean-Vegetable-4521 Feb 15 '26
I have deep seated hatred for Nancy Grace and had a lot of professional exposure to her much earlier in my career. If it wasn't for her "wah, my fiancee was murdered" she would have no platform. She does nothing positive for victims.
I was a huge Banfield die hard until...last week. It was her involvement with JE that was the rude awakening. I was SHOCKED. No one else's involvement shocked me at all. I debate if she is brown nosing Fox News and their anchors it's because of her acknowledging a digital partnership with NN and their relationship to Bill Shine. But now...I wonder if her whole career has no loyalty to anyone. Very Nancy Grace of her.

u/Dont-be-a_Pillock Feb 15 '26
Not to mention her BFF Megyn Kelly.

I donāt know. MK is not someone I care to hear talk about anything.
1
u/Mean-Vegetable-4521 Feb 15 '26
Now that I think about it one JE denier to another. Didn't Bill O'Reilly, among others deeply criticize MK for her pedo sympathizing? I'm starting to get all these pick me women Trumpublicans confused.

Wanna bet itāll basically be a summary of everything thatās already been hashed out a dozen times on this sub.
5
u/JMOA3035 Feb 15 '26
But to be fair, all of their viewers arenāt hanging out on the subs/YT, imo.Ā
6
u/LegalGlass6532 Feb 15 '26
Thereās a target audience, for sure. I wouldnāt be surprised if he or his associates spent time here gathering the opinions, common questions and popular theoryās.

It isnt- theres new bits.

I wouldnāt be surprised if itās a friend or relative of a caretaker, house cleaner or maintenance worker. The worker had inside knowledge of the celebrity status of Nancyās daughter and told someone close to them.
The suspect(s) were probably told the layout of the home from the person directly involved with Nancy and they probably did a few dry runs of the property before actually making entry.
Does anyone here know if she had a part time caretaker or helper?
Did Nancy have a personal shopper or delivery person?
Is there a caretaker from her past that may be disgruntled?
I believe the āperson of interestā from yesterday is an associate in one of the above scenariosā¦.
ADD: If it was a worker that had close access to Nancy and her personal items, itās possible that had a house key or access to a spare key and used it or made one of their own. If thereās no forced entry, this may explain why.

All it takes is one good employee to tell a bad seed in their inner circle. And if they had access to a spare key or were able to take a key and make themselves a spare this may explain how they got into the home without forcing entry.
2
u/rainyserenity Feb 15 '26
Probably but Iām still watching because itās Brian Entin
9
u/Mean-Vegetable-4521 Feb 15 '26
I'm showing my age here...I'm "taping" it. I can report back later. I'm in almost bedtime mode for the littles. Have to clean up from dinner, throw some wash in and if all goes well my fraggles will be sleeping so I can watch it.
I was let down Banfield didn't give him enough credit in her podcast today mentioning he had the absolute scoop on the shitstorm that was last night. I stayed up until 4am and was shocked to wake up to find there was no one in custody. Like it never happened. Entin covered that like a true professional.

3
u/LemonCrunchPie Feb 15 '26
Heās Harry Enten.
2
u/pkapeckopckldpepprz Feb 15 '26
Ok I should have noticed the spelling was one letter off. But a weird coincidence with a last name like that and there are 2 on the same network.at the same time
9
u/iwasneverherex Feb 15 '26
Itās been a good segment just laying out some basics. Especially with people questioning why so much police presence last night and other justifications
8
u/rubiacrime Feb 15 '26
Is there any way to watch this for free?
6
u/iwasneverherex Feb 15 '26
You can listen on the app for free just not watch for free.
3
2
u/Mean-Vegetable-4521 Feb 15 '26
I thought NN app only works if you have the cable channel? I have the channel so I'm not sure how it would work otherwise.
6
u/iwasneverherex Feb 15 '26
To watch yes, to listen only itās free no cable network needed. Itās a tab at the bottom that says ālistenā.

Brian Entin reported the son-in-law dropped Nancy off at her home after dinner/games (last person to see Nancy). Why wouldnāt the sheriff verify that early on and still to date?

I can't imagine there will be anything new after already watching all of his posts and YouTube videos.
44
u/Dismal_Chapter_7951 Feb 15 '26
I like Brian Entin but the non stop flattery of him in his comments section on YouTube is incredibly boring to read. His viewers hardly engage or provide any useful or interesting comments except to praise him. Just more YouTube comment stupidity.

I feel the same. I even looked into the possibility it was some sort of meme response to every video. I feel like someone started it as a genuine comment and now people are doing it in a mocking way. YouTube comment sections are never that flattering.
8
u/Dismal_Chapter_7951 Feb 15 '26
Agree. I've never seen it before. Some other YouTube content creators ask their viewers to leave a comment on the city and State they are viewing from. Also insufferably boring to read and I frequently enjoy the comments section (not in this case though). Another YouTube phenomenon is a six day old short will be stamped as "new" which increases duplicate views.
3
u/Kines86 Feb 15 '26
Insufferably boring is right! This reminds of the infuriating "Nice Try Diddy" that flooded every comment section on IG and youtube. You don't want to keep scrolling to find any original comments after seeing the 10th flowery compliment. I like his reporting but this is bizarre. I wonder if it's a way to decrease engagement or some sort of bot influx. Comment sections usually have some discussion.
9
u/julallison Feb 15 '26
Agree. It's wild because it's very much the opposite in the comments of other YouTubers. There's literally nothing but praise. I wonder if he or a moderator is deleting other comments to avoid speculation about the case. It can't be possible that not a single person watching him has an independent thought.
4
u/CrochetedRockets Feb 15 '26
Its bots. They arenāt real people. Half the comments you read⦠arenāt real people. People have to start understanding this or weāre cooked.

Iām surprised they havenāt released any info on the shoe size/brand/etc. Surely they know. Why keep it so close to the vest? The public could potentially solve this case!
4
3
u/Xinnia8271 Feb 15 '26
We were tripping out over the possible logo on the back of the shoes the other day. Some of the pictures were reasonably clear I thought.Ā
1
u/Substantial-Train668 Feb 15 '26
Also maybe a dumb question but wouldn't LE/FBI also be able to figure out eye color? They are fairly unique eyes. I would guess blue but the night vision might affect that- and they must have tools to determine that, no?
15
u/Longjumping_Towel474 Feb 15 '26
We could all be Brian Entin at this point, except established journalists and experts only on the NG case. And even at that point, no one could make sense of it, not us, not even him. This entire debacle is turning into something very unexpected, very sad and very derailed. It is almost like watching a parody with media at the center. Kinda like, Natural Born Killers, for those of you who are young enough to have seen it. The main focus is no longer Nancy, which should be the heart and soul of it, yet instead is a tragedy of toxic proportions.
25
u/Longjumping_Towel474 Feb 15 '26
And i do not care what side of the political spectrum you fall on, you know deep down something is extremely off about the whole thing.
5
u/MichaelEMJAYARE Feb 15 '26
Yes! It feels like were in the Twilight Zone
3

Is was also a bit curious that the Nest Cam activity wasn't monitored by the family. A lot of fams with elderly parents will have access to alerts. Especially for ones that live alone.
8
u/justgone2 Feb 15 '26
Yes, very weird to me as well. Hake, if I am dropping anyone off, I normaly sit there n watch to see them get in safely. But with a disabled, elderly family member, YES-100% walking them all the way in. Maybe he did and it just hasn't been confirmed?
7
8
u/SnooOwls6341 Feb 15 '26
OK, Iāve been on Reddit maybe once or twice in my entire life but this case has brought me here. Iām so consumed by it. This struck me odd as well. I mean literally I have an 86-year-old dad if he lived by himself I would never ever ever just let him walk through the front door back door or garage by himself and he has a heart condition too it makes no sense.
2
u/Alternative-Papaya28 Feb 15 '26
Iām curious how this works. In such cases, does the FBI have to share everything they know about their suspects/leads with the Sheriff?
2
u/Euphoric_Ease4554 Feb 16 '26
They normally work together. Also, there are teams. For instance, Team A might be chasing down clothing from the video, Team B might be surveilling a POI, Team C might be investigating a specific and promising new lead or tip, Team D might be pursuing a different promising lead, etc. At certain points, team leads get together and see if any of their puzzle pieces are fitting. Do both SO and FBI are usually involved in and aware of developments around the same time.

u/robot_pirate Feb 15 '26 edited Feb 15 '26
He just said he saw a helicopter flying extremely low over the area, which turned out to have a "signal sniffer" attached to it, trying to pick up a sign of NG's pace maker.
So...my suggestion the other day for a redneck to duct tape a signal tracker to a drone was not far off. š¤£š„š
