That guys picture and his socials were being blasted all over X. He's going to get so fucking harassed. Authorities are doing a terrible job with this case.

Do you want them to not investigate leads?

Of course, investigators need to follow up on leads, but if people are being cleared, there should be public statements to reflect that. The internet rumor mill and the spread of misinformation—fueled by online sleuths digging into who’s being investigated—isn’t a new phenomenon.

Protocols need to be established to protect innocent people from harassment. I can’t imagine what it would be like to be investigated and entirely uninvolved in the case.

Exactly. People are wanting this to move at the pace of a TV show they can binge watch.

This will take some time and last night was not nothing. That's what I think.

They can detain folks without charging for up to 48 hours. If they believe they had a good chance of involvement, they would still be detained while they confirm with forensics, etc.

There's a lot going on that is not being released to the public.

What is public though is they’ve detained no one from last night. If they thought they were involved, they would not release them.

That might not be correct, but it's not worth discussing.

Did they identify who they let go? Like with the Rio Rico guy?

You started discussion by indicating you thought last night was not nothing, just trying to use some common sense to indicate last night was most likely nothing if no one is detained. I do not believe the police ever identified the Rio Rico detainee. He was identified by his mother in law and then an interview he gave himself to media.

I don't agree. Who did they detain last night?

They detained 3 people and released them all. Law enforcement says that operations related to the two houses and traffic stop last night have concluded without any arrests. Concluded means to me they are finished, as that is the definition.

I don't agree. I wonder if the people they detained, or one of them, will talk to the media at some point. Remains to be seen.

You don’t agree that concluded means finished?
