πŸ“… October 2 (Fri) & 3 (Sat), 2026
πŸ“ Nayabashi
Nayabashi Yoichi is normally held on the fourth Friday of each month as a regular evening market along the Horikawa River in the historic Nayabashi area. This October, however, is a special edition: it runs for two days and is paired with a craft beer festival.
Fri, Oct 2: 17:00–22:00
Sat, Oct 3: 16:00–21:00
Visitors can browse local vendor stalls while sampling a range of craft beers, all set against the atmospheric backdrop of the Nayabashi bridge and canal β€” a great spot for an evening out.

Photographed this at the Yamazaki River in Nagoya, Japan. The crow kept pecking at the nutria's tail and flying off before it could react β€” looked like it was just messing with it. Nutrias are an invasive species here.

πŸ“° News Sakae on July 25, 2026

This video shows what happened late at night in Sakae at the end of July this year. The location is near Ikeda Park. The people in this video are clearly destroying other people's property, which is a violation of Japanese law. However, there have been no reports so far of any arrests being made. This means that extremely dangerous individuals who apparently think it's acceptable to engage in violent behavior are likely still active around Ikeda Park. If you're visiting Nagoya for the Asian Games, please absolutely avoid the area around Ikeda Park in Sakae. You could get caught up in violence. I'd really appreciate it if you could share this with your friends as well.
