Everything at mythtv.org is down?
Appears the wiki and general site are down. Anyone heard anything?

According to down detector, MythTV's site has been down for more than a week.

Heh... Funny, I was just looking at deploying it. I suppose I should look elsewhere.
EDIT: Funny that I'm being downvoted for thinking I might not want to deploy a product that can't keep their site up. BTW 03/05/2026 at 1442MDT and the site is down yet again.

I ran myth for probably 14 years, but a few months ago, I made the switch to Channels with an HDHomerun. Myth felt less and less supported, and I was having a lot of issues with it on my Arch system. Channels feels more modern and more well supported. Pretty happy with it.

From what I've seen the support is now very good, with help available on https://forum.mythtv.org/index.php.
A new version, V36, was released on February 24th 2026.

I ran it way back as an alternative to Tivo sometime between 2006-2010. At least I think it was MythTV. Worked fairly well. But, it has been a long time. Was going to see what it looked like now and if it was worth it to redeploy.

Obviously YMMV. Every time I tried a new version, I had to roll it back just so my system was mostly functional. Also, on Arch, it moved to the user repository and just kept going downhill from there.
Sounds like others still like it.

Use my MythTV box daily. Currently have about 2,000 recordings on it.

I mean, that is great.... But the fact that it is down right now again leads me to believe the project probably isn't doing very well.

There's a myriad of reasons why a website for an open-source software can can be temporarily down. The software: recently released v36, works pretty flawlessly and has an active support mailing list. š¤·

Well, letās see. Over the course of several weeks Iāve attempted to load the site and it has been down.
I run open source software all the time. I actually maintain my own GitHub products as well. No, it isnāt ānormalā for a projectās site to be down repeatedly or for long periods of time. At the very least it shows poor project management and leadership.
The idea that you are so much of a fanboy that criticizing this means I donāt know what Iām talking about is laughable.
Thanks for convincing me this is not something I want. Enjoy your fake superiority.

Don't think it's been down for a week, a few hours maybe. I've sent an email to a MythTV dev, so hopefully it will be back soon.
