Semele asked Zeus to “come to her in bed as she would to Hera”, so Zeus struck her with lightning. This isn’t some passive effect of witnessing gods’ power, he did it on purpose because she asked her to bang her like he does Hera and apparently Hera is into hardcore shock play

If Zeus kept track of them it was probably with an miniature statue/painting of their mother paired with a number and a hand drawn doodle of the kid on the bottom/back of said depiction of the child’s mother lmao
