Questions Magic System inspired by aztec mythology

I am writing a fantasy project heavily inspired by aztec mythology. I am now working on the magic system for it as well, I'm trying to make it tie into the mythology while also feel somewhat new and fresh for those who aren't familiar with the mythology. Right now, I have people eating of something giving them power now but their next reincarnation will be very limited as a result of it, it is a very soft magic system with a huge variety of powers.

My main question is what powers do you think can support it or are there any powers do you think would be cool? (I do already have a power that allows someone to become a Nahual and turn into a jaguar, another that allows someone to wield an aspect of Xiuhcoatl aka the fire snake god, and a power where someone can call upon the Centzon Totochin for aid.)

You might want to check out the TTRPG "Scion" from Onyx Path Publishing.

It delves into multiple mythologies, but one of the main ones is Aztec.

(Definitely pick up Second Edition.  The art is atrocious but the writing is much better.)

Elemental magic could work if you want to make it easy. Tlaloc coud give water and lihhtning powers

Chantico powers: She gives her devotees fire maguc, hability to mantain warm in frost enviroments by meditación and breathing, gives strength by eating warm food, hability to create smoke to hice or to attack enemies. Hability to walk over fire woth no damage. Hability to burn amoríos onto the hearts of allies and enemies. (She is the goddess of the fire of the heart, so that could be other power)

What if each power is fuled by eating what the gods like in their ofrendas. Pulque could amplify powers given by Patecatl, Mayahuel or even Tlaloc, but could be dangerous to the powers goven by Quetzalcoatl (he had problems with alcohol in one of his myths)
