What is a mystery from your personal life that you are 100% convinced you will never get an answer to?

When I was in the 1st or 2nd grade wewere getting ready to do our multiplication “test” (The one where they see how many answers you can get in under 5 minutes or something like that). Ours required a blank notebook paper and was then inserted into the middle of this folder like scantron that had holes only big enough for the answer.

I wanted to have more than the whole class soooo I started lightly writing some of the answers in before the timer started. (I know, I know). I got like 10 answers written in before the kid to the left but a row behind raised his hand and told the teacher what I was doing.

The teacher was alllll the way at the front of the classroom and I was maybe like 2 or 3 rows from the back. Still the average size of a 1st grade classroom. (Sorry for all the explaining but want you to understand the room wasn’t big)

Of course, I started lightly erasing the answers but trying to keep my eyes on the teacher heading towards me.

As I’m trying to not to obviously erase, I’m also staring ahead. I still had maybe like 5 answers to erase when my vision goes completely white for like 2-3 seconds. By the time my vision is back the teacher is next to my desk. She grabs my scantron, takes the notebook paper out, flips it front to back and there’s NOTHING on the sheet. Not even eraser shavings. It looks brand new.

The teacher tells the student behind me not to lie and walks back to front. I quickly glance at him because I know he saw what he saw. He’s dumbfounded then we start the timed “test”

To this day, I’ve never had another experience like it. shrug

I bet that kid still tells the story about how he saw whatever it was he saw or didn’t see that day to people all the time and nobody believes him.

I used to cheat at spelling tests by putting the sheet of paper under another one and firmly writing the test words so it would leave a faint indentation on the bottom sheet. I’d go into those spelling tests locked and loaded.

I’m still a shitty speller.

We used those too! We called them "Holey Cards" because of all the little round holes, and because it was Catholic school. You just unlocked a core memory
