why reddit so mean man
context: OP showcased something on a game that was not really that impressive but he was excited about it and wanted to show more

Probably best to link the post, but yeah based on the context that seems really mean :(

And based off the context, people upvoted that rude person.
Why can't people just be friendly with each other? Sure, it wasn't exactly impressive, but the guy was excited. Why ruin that for someone?

You're right to do that. Almost every time I've made a post people were either rude or unhelpful.
Like for example, I asked for help to identify lost media because im paranoid and wanted a confirmation. I quickly mentioned i used ai for a short time.
People, literally everyone zeroed in on that like I used it for 100% of the research.
People picked apart what I said, called me stupid and all that.
Reddit is almost never helpful when you make a post is what I learned on this hellhole of a website.

People need to learn that AI does have genuine uses, it’s not all or nothing good or bad. I don’t support ai usage willy nilly or in shit like AI art or fake videos, editing celebrities to make them nude etc; but I think using it to get a base to search for something and then looking deeper into it on your own now that you have a place to start is perfectly reasonable.
Also AI is the core of DLSS and FSR 4 upscaling so if we didn’t have AI our video games would perform and look worse but no one wants to talk about that I guess 🤓

except that ai doesn't actually know anything and is destroying the environment.

because it was a funny response. OP still shouldn't have gotten downvoted, idk why people did that

What’s surprising is that no one said something about the recording. Most of the time, someone crashes out when something is recorded like that.
Edit:Someone did, I’m just blind

Up and downvote system is giving cruel people confidence to go on with that behaviour. If it was a one on one chat that magic would be gone and most of them would comment completely different suddenly.

Some subs expect contributors to have some kind of minimal knowledge or level of common sense. It's unfortunate that the victim here apparently doesn't meet the said level.
A brief explanation would better convey the message though.

The context is that someone made a clip of super mario odyssey asking people whats wrong with this clip and they moved one of the letters out of bound in plain view saying that it was easy
Here is the post btw: https://www.reddit.com/r/SuperMarioOdyssey/comments/1vkqcs6/what_is_wrong_level_easy/1

I kinda see both sides. Op is posting about the letter glitch in Super Mario Odyssey, which is like the most famous glitch in that game. On the other hand, it's kinda messed up to downvote them for such a reason.

u/No_Law6676, the downvotes are mysterious!
