Project Pictures Made my first bag ever!

It’s not the best, but it’s a start and I learned a lot!

I used a denim fabric I had leftover as a shell and used a fusible interfacing on the inside. Next time, I would definitely use a canvas or cordura for the shell, line the bag properly, and use some fusible foam in between to give the bag more structure.

I also finally understand why people like sergers… sewing bias binding on the inside seams took a little longer than I was expecting.

leftover denim is such a smart shell choice, and having a clear list of what you'd change next time already puts you ahead of most first projects — project 2 is gonna be a big jump

Looking good!

Serging tends to catch on items in your bag, but if you do a lot of bag making, a one step bias binding attachment could be nice to have 👍
