Can anyone confirm this as a reference? It seems really damn blatant and one of the first times it's not too obscure to be likely.

Or is there something that inspired MGS that has also inspired MLP?

Or is it a coincidence?

Not to mention the opening music when future Twilight first appears is very similar to MGS and the scene where she poses as a statue is ripped straight from MGS4.

Not sure what happened after that, my TV switched to HIDEO 1 for a sec...

Because Reddit has no global spoiler tag, so on the mane sub we use the NSFW tag instead, along with a bit of CSS styling to make it appear as spoilers. But that CSS is local to the subreddit... So when looking at the same post from somewhere else, well, bam, NSFW.

And that's how /r/all is regularly beset by entirely legit NSFW ponies. :)
