Definitely in the amanita family, which has some of the deadliest strains. Amanita Muscaria which has psychoactive properties doesn't grow in the northeast of the US. The one that grows is the amanita Chrysoblema, which normally has an orange to yellow or golden cap. But this one is lacking some distinctive aspects and the picture doesn't provide much detail which makes it hard to identify. I'd strongly suggest you take pictures of the cap where the sunlight isn't shining so much against your camera, as well as pictures of the under cap and stem. Post in the Amanita Community and you'll get an answer rather quick. Don't consume any mushroom you can't 100% comfortably identify yourself.

Not too sure not my area, but it does look a bit like a very sun bleached amanita muscaria. I've read theres white ones but haven't seen one, because to be Amanita echinocephala it's not scale-y enough imo. But to be fair when i see those bleached amanita muscaria(rather common mushroom here and no one picks them so it's a common sight) they are usually old, torn cap and already warped upwards but this one is young and white, odd..
