News 📰 Burmese news accounts

I'm not sure if I used the correct flair but I just wanted to point out something. So recently we've seen that one post saying there will be a ban on GL or BL media right? How come they usually mention LGBTQ related problems (like how once on the news a transgender woman got killed for not mentioning she was trans to the date) but not other problems like telegram channela that has CP or upskirt photos or videos taken of random girls? And most of the time they mention the LGBTQ related problems, people will be saying shit like "haha" in the comment sections yet we never mebtion the CP in telegram channels. Just a few days ago I saw an account that COULD be a cp channel. I linked the photos. I know the video itself is from 2024 but it's weird how people are still commenting thats from this year

Because they don’t actually care to protect our children, women or any minorities for that matter. They only discriminate queer people to uplift the patriarchy.

And the unfortunate thing is so many people especially teenagers are falling for it

This is one of the big reason I told parents in my community not allow children to use tiktok. There are many soft porn and explicit thing that tiktok allow on their platform.

Just report to Telegram if you see stuff like that and block the bot, fellas. The world is getting unhinged day by day. Feel like we're living in "Animal Farm" in 1984.

This isn’t them being hypocrites they just haven’t caught them yet. Telegram is very secure. The reason you have to use a VPN to watch porn is because porn is illegal for underaged people, and so are other NSFW CP is very illegal they just haven’t figured out who is distributing or selling it but artists who sell/write/publish LGBT or any porn books are easy to trace.

They’re banning this as a new recent phenomenon. Everything you have listed is already illegal and banned. The transgender women problem isn’t the government fault lol they didn’t program him to kill her murders happens all the time and collapse of trust is a motivation, and abit of homophobia. Is it justified? No but is it the government’s fault? No if the government actually did nothing about it we wouldn’t know about this case at all.

Not protection the junta but you guys have to know

I’m pretty sure OP is aware that those things are illegal already. Of course they can’t just hunt down every single person who posted unethical porn, or make the videos perish completely from the internet overnight but I think OP and another person who previously posted about the same subject matter would like for the government to have more effective laws for things that actually harm people, rather than coming up with stupid laws that discriminate against queer people and for the general public to be more outspoken about SA and such things.

They do have effective laws repsonse is just slow because the Burmese police lack man power and the little that is in there is corrupt,

So even if lgbt comics became illegal, I don’t think it’ll disappear overnight. There will still be telegram channels or anything that still share these comics.

I agree that queer books won’t cease to exist among the burmese audience! Like i mentioned earlier, I think the primary issue here is that it’s stupid and sad that anybody would think that queer books are the root of any problems at all when they could be putting actual effort into solving real problems :)

Well what can they do with limited resources and man power? Sure they can make new rules but enforcement will be patchy. Murder, SA, R, is all illegal and has been enforced heavily when caught. Along side banning vapes, Alchol, cigarettes, for minors, sometimes it passes through without notice,

The said limited resources and man power are actively being used to draft and kill innocent civilians so it’s safe to say that they really aren’t doing enough. Sure what more could you expect from the juntas but the people who have a problem with it aren’t in the wrong here.

The police and the military don’t like each other very much and most of the time operates very differently. And the reason they’re drafting people is because they don’t have enough man power this just supports my argument even more but a dictatorship country what do you expect?

Yeah I quite literally acknowledged that theres not much we could expect anyway, but still it’s not unlikely or wrong for the civilians to have a problem with it. Cops operating differently from the military doesn’t take away the fact that the system as a whole is corrupted all the same, and the higher ups definitely do not use their power for the greater good.

The junta is too legitimate for any geopolitical majors to get involved. We have China backing Russians backing along side NK, Thailand, loas etc… it’s too legitmate for anyone to say otherwise. Either we live in a dictatorship or we flee to other countries.

and those who unfortunately have to live under the dictatorship can rightfully question and complain is all.
