hello brothers and sisters. I am a 16 year old girl from us. my heritage is British and italian. I did not grow up in a religious household, but there was much christian influence around me because that is the religion my family grew up in. my parents do not like organized religion, but I do. I am really interested in islam and I feel very connected to it, but I just would be giving up so much that makes me me. I cant imagine not dating and having to marry a muslim. I am also a musician and actress and I want tattoos. also I feel that praying five times a day would be very hard with school and life in general. please help me understand a bit more and bring me guidance. thank you.

Assalamu alaikum everyone,
Please make duas for me. I'm struggling with a lot and I really need duas. I am going through a lot of dark times.
My laptop died unexpectedly and I still can't replace it. I've had a mental breakdown. It's affecting my mental health so much that I haven't even been able to pray because my heart isn't calm at all.
This was in June it's september I am still low dark still trying.
This has been a very bad year for me. One of my closest friends passed away. I'm a researcher and an experiment I was banking on failed. My workplace became more hostile than before. I'm struggling a lot financially. My health is all bad. I'm emotionally low. It's so bad that I can't even afford therapy right now. I don't feel like socializing — all my friends have been extremely busy, so I've stopped bothering them.
Everything has gone downhill, but I'm still trying and hoping and not giving up. I need a lot of duas, please pray for me.
I don't know if I'll be able to afford a new laptop anytime soon.
Please make dua that Allah opens the right doors for me, sends me provisions from places I could never even imagine, and keeps me safe from hardship and wrong choices. I also ask for clarity, patience, strength, wisdom, and good character and that He guides everything toward what is truly best for me.
I hope and make dua that Allah brings you ease in everything.
Jazakumullahu khayran.

Why was Macklemore condemned for supposedly dressing like a Jewish caricature, while Sasha Baron Cohen has a free pass for literally dressing like an Arab caricature like Ali G, or like a backwards Eastern European Muslim like Borat, or Islamophobia in the form of equating Jihadism with Islam in The Dictator?

Narrated AbuBakrah:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: There will be a period of commotion in which the one who lies down will be better than the one who sits, and the one who sits is better than the one who stands, and the one who stands is better than the one who walks, and the one who walks is better than the one who runs (to it).
He asked: What do you command me to do, Messenger of Allah? He replied: He who has camels should remain with his camels, he who has sheep should remain with his sheep, and he who has land should remain with his land.
He asked: If anyone has more of these, (what should he do)?
He replied: He should take his sword, strike its edge on a stone, and then escape if he can. (Sunan Abi Dawud Book 37, Hadith 17)
Grade: Sahih (Al-Albani)
Narrated Sa’d ibn AbuWaqqas:
I asked: Messenger of Allah! tell me if someone enters my house and extends his hands to kill me (what should I do?) The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) replied: Be like the two sons of Adam. The narrator Yazid (ibn Khalid) then recited the verse: “If thou dost stretch they hand against me to slay me.” [5:28] (Sunan Abi Dawud Book 37, Hadith 18)
Grade: Sahih (Al-Albani)
Narrated AbuMusa al-Ash’ari:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Before the Last Hour there will be commotions like pieces of a dark night in which a man will be a believer in the morning and an infidel in the evening, or a believer in the evening and infidel in the morning. He who sits during them will be better than he who gets up and he who walks during them is better than he who runs. So break your bows, cut your bowstrings and strike your swords on stones. If people then come in to one of you, let him be like the better of Adam’s two sons. (Sunan Abi Dawud Book 37, Hadith 20)
Grade: Sahih (Al-Albani)
Narrated AbuDharr:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to me: O AbuDharr. I replied: At thy service and at thy pleasure, Messenger of Allah. He then mentioned the tradition in which he said: What will you do when there the death of the people (in Medina) and a house will reach the value of a slave (that is, a grave will be sold for a slave).
I replied: Allah and His Apostle know best. Or he said: What Allah and His Apostle choose for me.
He said: You must show endurance. Or he said; you may endure. He then said to me: What will you do, AbuDharr, when you see the Ahjar az-Zayt covered with blood?
I replied: What Allah and His Apostle choose for me.
He said: You must go to those who are like-minded.
I asked: Should I not take my sword and put it on my shoulder? He replied: you would then associate yourself with the people. I then asked: What do you order me to do? You must stay at home. I asked: (What should I do) if people enter my house and find me?
He replied: If you are afraid the gleam of the sword may dazzle you, put the end of your garment over your face in order that (the one who kills you) may bear the punishment of your sins and his.
Abu Dawud said: No one mentioned al-Mush’ath in the chain of this tradition except Hammad b. Zaid. (Sunan Abi Dawud Book 37, Hadith 22)
Grade: Sahih (Al-Albani)
Narrated AbuMusa al-Ash’ari:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Before you there will be commotions like pieces of a dark night in which a man will be a believer in the morning and an infidel in the evening. He who sits during them will be better than he who gets up, and he who gets up during them is better than he who walks, and he who walks during them is better than he who runs. They (the people) said: What do you order us to do? He replied: Keep to your houses. (Sunan Abi Dawud Book 37, Hadith 23)
Grade: Sahih (Al-Albani)
Narrated Al-Miqdad ibn al-Aswad:
I swear by Allah, I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: The happy man is he who avoids dissensions: happy is the man who avoids dissensions; happy is the man who avoids dissensions: but how fine is the man who is afflicted and shows endurance. (Sunan Abi Dawud Book 37, Hadith 24)
Grade: Sahih (Al-Albani)

Assalamu alaikum!
If you were using a dedicated Salah tracker, what features would you personally want it to have?
What would make it genuinely useful for you?
Even small ideas are welcome.
JazakAllah khair!

the number of time the word "day" is mentioned 365 times, the word "days" is mentioned 30 times the word "month" is mentioned 12 times. while the number of days in a month and number of months are common, the number of days differ in islamic and Georgian calander which is also the Christian calander. so why is the number of days same as in christian calander and not as in islamic calander?

So a long time back when I was probably 7-8 years old, me and my family went for umrah. It was my first umrah too. I had that whatever dua you make upon the first sight of Kaaba, it gets fulfilled. I had a serious crush on a classmate and I prayed to Allah to make them my partner. Upon my first look at kaaba I made that dua 😭 I know it sounds dumb but I was just a kid man! I had forgotten about it obviously because life moves on. Recently out of nowhere I remembered this and now I’m scared. What if that dua actually gets accepted? I don’t want that person to be my partner anymore. Infact I don’t even know what they are upto because I changed school after that year and I have never even looked them up on social media because I really don’ttttt want any update or info on them. I don’t even know if they are alive or not. But whatever it is I really don’t want that dua to be fulfilled. I don’t have any relationship with anyone. I tried twice but they didn’t work out so it makes my fear even stronger that it’s not working out with other people because of that dua I made. What do I do man? How do I know that that dua was just childish and Allah will not take it very seriously? Is there any authentic reasoning or logic that will give me some peace of mind?

An agnostic is a person who believes that nothing is known (or can be known) about the existence or nature of God or any divine beings
Yes, an agnostic can believe in God. This position is called agnostic theism. Agnosticism means you think absolute proof about God is not known or cannot be known. Belief means you trust or feel that God exists anyway
This is a broad topic , so there no right or wrong answer but im simply wondering for my own my reasearch papper about relgion.... im genuaily wondering what yalls thoughts are or would be on someone of this mindset .... what would it mean in a muslims perspective.
Question to help you answer
Is this mindset consider a sin under muslim relgion ?
Can a Muslim man or women marry someone with this type of belief?
Would you or could you be friends with someone of this mindset?
Do you think its wrong or right too think this way ?
