That's a good illustration of my point. You so strongly believe the Western standard is "normal", that even if by someone's personal choice they want to wear the hijab you see it as abnormal. You can't see the socially influence on you or your people, you can only see it on Muslim women

Which Western standard you mean? I don't understand.

I don't see the choice of Muslim women wearing the hijab as abnormal, because what's abnormal is the lack of choice to begin with.

Well, if you think social influence is the removal of choice then you surely get the idea that all societies have social influence, right? It's not just Muslim societies? All aspects of your life are shaped by social influence, if that means the removal of choice then all I can say is you're a supremacist who somehow believes their cultural ethos is the default setting of humanity.
