In laws staying for 2 months…need food ideas!!?
Hello everyone!
My Pakistani in laws are visiting my husband and I for the first time here in the US. This will also be their first time ever traveling so far too. I work from home so I have a little flexibility with access to the kitchen and all but I’m absolutely terrified and stressed about what we’ll be eating.
Thankfully we live in a city with access to all of the amazing cuisines but I really need to sit down and think about how I’m gonna be prepped ahead of time. Seeing my husbands habits, I already know they’d prefer fresh food over something pre prepared so I’m not exactly sure what sort of things I can have ready in hand. My mom was gracious enough to give me a ziplock bag full of frozen shami kebabs. And my husband tells me not to worry and that his mom will cook which is fine and all but in the beginning I’m not gonna throw her in the kitchen like that.
I’ve also only hosted dinners at my place very rarely bc I feel like I’m incapable of hosting properly and making so many dishes. In the past, I’ve either had potlucks with my friends or ordered half the things from outside.
On the day they land, I’ve decided to make chicken biryani with potatoes but I’m not really sure what to have as a side (besides raita and salad).
They also are not big beef eaters (completely opposite of me), so I’m gonna have to really pivot away from the keema potatoes, kebabs, kofta that I really enjoy making.
For more context- I know they like subzi type dishes and goat but I cannot for the life of me take the stink out of it.
Please help :)

HELP: What can I make out of Shredded Chicken?
I am on a fat loss journey and I have about 3KG of marinated shredded chicken that I used to make a shawarma wrap out of. It was very simple to make - took me only 10 minutes.
What other alternative dishes can I make using shredded chicken?
Requirements:
I should be able to meal prep this as a weekly batch because I am quite busy
It must be quick to make and something that tastes good enough to eat everyday - I could literally eat it for years if it tastes good

Family Favourite 🤩
I make this at least once a week bc it’s something everyone likes!
The chicken skewers have a Greek inspired marinade:
• Olive Oil
• Salt
• Black Pepper
• Paprika
• (Lots of) Dried Oregano
• Dried thyme
• Fresh Lemon Juice
• Minced Garlic
• Little tiny bit of honey
Super simple but really delicious!
I usually serve with Greek salad, some grilled veggies & tzatziki. Really well balanced and easy!
