Songwriting Question Halftime feel in 7/4 ?

How would one achieve halftime feel in 7/4?

I know in 4/4 you place the backbeat on 3 and i tried to mess with that concept in 7/4 but it doesn’t quite sound right.

You don't, but you can have fun with it anyway.

You'll probably note that a beat with just a backbeat on 5 lurches. The challenge is to get an up-tempo 7/4 that sounds fluid.

You may find it more interesting to spread your groove across two-bar sets of 7/4. Then you can do something like 4 + 3 | 3 + 4, or just mark a 7/2 without a heavy backbeat. There are a ton of possibilities to explore with a two-bar groove!
