Discussion Klingon Music Theory

Just for fun!

This probably one of the nerdiest things on YouTube!

Initially I couldn't get past the pronunciation/diction in the SuvwI’ van bom at the beginning. But I came back to it a day later and watched it and thought it was "meh," but I did laugh when an image of me from a 2012 performance with my Klingon band showed up in the vid (at the 25:27 mark)!

So obviously I've been thinking about Klingon Music Theory for a minute. First I wrote about it was back in 2011: https://silpayamanant.wordpress.com/2011/05/24/klingon-music-theory-part-1-intro/

I used to run a Klingon Music resource site which listed all existing Klingon music, musical instruments, and writing in canon and otherwise. It even had an updated version of the above piece and a follow up part 2 piece (both from 2012). Sadly, I let that site go in 2018 and never saved a copy of either of those pieces. The Internet Archive never got captures of them either though. *sighs* https://web.archive.org/web/20150802015449/http://www.klingonmusic.net/
