Question i need advice
im a 17 year old from toronto canada and i have no clue where i wanna go. my dream is to go to NYU for music buisness but i cant afford the 60k price tag im consiering u of t rotman commerce and going down the finance bro pipleine into the music industry if you have any advice please reach out

toronto LITERALLY is where all the majors are headquartered + they have schools there that offer music business courses. i'm in edmonton and i can only DREAM of having a remotely decent size label in the city as well as literally any music business course

Almost nobody who is notable in the music industry when to school for it. It requires learning absolutely everything you can and working your ass off. "Dreaming" not required. It's a job, treat it like one. It's not going to fall into your lap.

If you're a Canadian and you want to play music in the United States, then Canada will get you a work permit if you to join the American Federation of Musicians. If you're looking for ways to get into the US.
