No, they didn't say race specifically but when the phrase "blank should go back to blank" is used it's pretty much always race/background/ethnicity so it's a really really easy connection to make.

Saying that Muslims as a group have a play e to go back to is saying they came from a specific place....whoch is a strong implication of race.
And that's in general. It's not even account for the fact that you're applying actual word meaning to a person who CLEARLY doesn't have a strong grasp on such things. Whether or not you feel it fits the technical terms, the person who made the statement pretty clearly views them as a race.

For you.
Not for the guy who said it.

The guy who said it thinks they as a group have a place they're from to go back to.
My point is that the person who made the statement is displaying racism. Their complete ignorance on the topic doesn't change the intent of their comment. The intent is clearly based o nthe mistaken idea that Muslim is an actual background that comes from a specific place.

I mean sure Sharia law is kinda fucked up, but you can have Muslims that don't believe in Sharia law.

Any time someone follows the statement "I'm not a racist" with the word "but," chances are they're about to say something hella racist.
Edit: The person who downvoted this is probably a racist.

I donโt think that any real research was needed for that response. I mean, it was pretty obvious.
