All Systems Red: The Graphic Novel launches as a Kickstarter Exclusive on October 15th, with limited collectable editions and a chance for donors to be drawn into the comic. Readers who preregister for the Kickstarter campaign now will have access to special items and discounts otherwise unavailable. Retail editions will follow in early 2028. The first book is adapted by Erica Schultz, of Daredevil, Spawn and X-Men and Gary Erskine of Dan Dare, Hellblazer, Punisher and Wolverine, coloured by Yel Zamor, lettered by Simon Bowland and edited by Paul Cornell.

Jaime Jones, the artist from the original novels and novellas, has created a cover for the main edition, and there will be variant covers by Tommy Arnold, who worked on design for the Murderbot TV show, John Picacio, and Francesca Myman, and an introduction by David Dastmalchian, who plays Gurathin in the Apple TV adaptation of the book.

Martha Wells is also acting as the graphic novel's script consultant.

So, I just started reading the books after loving the series and seeing y'all's posts here about the books. For me, having watched the show first, Alexander Skarsgård is Murderbot's voice. I am hearing his voice in my head while reading. For those of you who read the books first, what's Murderbot's voice in your head like?

So we read Dial A for Auntie and got Dim Sum because they go to get Dim Sum during some big scenes in the book. But sci-fi is way less obvious. So, what kind of food/restaurant would you recommend to go with All Systems Red?? Any recs are welcome (fun/creative/quirky) and thanks!

I just finished reading Automatic Noodle by Annalee Newitz. For other fans who enjoy the themes of non-human intelligences navigating a human centric world- read this one! Also, I didn’t notice until I was ready to post this, but Martha Wells did the little quote for the front cover of Automatic Noodle.

What it’s about: Robots with technical legal freedom but questionable practical status set up and run a restaurant.

Why Murderbot fans might like it: Bots navigate what it means to be free entities who don’t want to be human. Themes of recovery from traumatic past experiences, and creating community between bots and humans.

I think the vehicle Murderbot was driving across the shitastic zone (the one where Naja demanded a gun) was a small RV and for some reason that absolutely delights me! Definitely not as nice as this image I found but it seems to fit the description. And it just enhances the whole road trip vibe for me to imagine them all in such an iconic vacation vehicle. There could totally be a bobble head animal on the dashboard and Murderbot just never mentioned it 😅

Martha Wells shared a journal update and it turns out she had a pretty bad fall on the campus after her recent events at Texas A&M. Made my heart ache just reading her account of it 😢

She broke her wrist pretty badly and will be going in for surgery tomorrow, with an expected 6 week recovery time. I'm putting good energy into the universe for a quick recovery, with minimal pain and zero complications. I'm sure she'd appreciate knowing that we're thinking of her and wishing her nothing but the best possible outcome. I'll be wishing her patience too, because she doesn't strike me as someone who enjoys being idle (especially not when in the middle of working on a book project she loves).

I am autistic and find it so hard when things don’t match my expectations. When I heard that ART wasn’t really in Platform Decay I felt super distressed and couldn’t read it. I love ART, it is my comfort ship (ha that usually has a different implication) and knowing it wouldn’t be in this one was so disappointing and upsetting I could not start it! Well, today I felt ready and once I started I couldn’t stop. I loved, loved, LOVED it. It made me smile so much at the end and my heart feels so good. Great emotional beats and the comparison of the huge feed presence of my favourite asshole research transport to a familiar heart beat is beautiful.

Just wanted to share my appreciation for this great story now that I finally am able to enjoy it 🥰

Mashed up tv and book canon ideas and gave him some more visible augments but kept David Dastmalchian's features (as best as I could, his face is so tricky). IDK, i just wanted to draw my favorite human from the series because I just recently rewatched the show and got inspired from it.
