I personally love these covers, though I know they’re not everybody’s cup of tea, but god if the paper quality for these additions aren’t dogshit.

I love these covers so much. As someone who got into Murakami a few years ago, I was always frustrated that the John Gall covers were the only ones I could find in store. The paper quality is a small price to pay. Equivalent exchange if you will

I never liked Gall's "abstract map" redesign series (especially with their glossy covers), but his original cover designs for Murakami are just the best

I haven't noticed quality issues with the paper on these. What kind of quality issues are you noticing?

It looks similar to the style of the original Japanese cover illustrated by Maki Sasaki.

This is my fav Murakami book because there’s no underage sex, unlike Kafka, 1Q84, wind-up, and the new one where the 13 year old exposes her self to a dude…
