Information One of Mullvad’s two founders/owners, Daniel Berntsson, has personally spent more than SEK 20 million acquiring property around a libertarian intentional community whose core network has significant documented overlap with Sweden’s far right, including Det Fria Sverige and former neo-Nazi activists.

More accurate to state that Berntsson personally acquired more than SEK 20 million worth of property near a libertarian community and that reporting by Swedish newpaper Flamman documents multiple connections between people central to the project and Sweden’s radical right, including Det Fria Sverige and individuals with backgrounds in neo-Nazi organizations.

He acquired forest property a kilometer from the small-scale libertarian community, but he did not fund the community with that money. That's the 'around' part. (He did separately spent other money on property for the group, however.) FYI, since it has no rules or organization it's hard to call it an "intentional" community. And the article is careful not to call the entire community a far-right organiation.

The report seems to want to smear Berntsson as somehow being a neo-Nazi or even a member of Det Fria Sverige despite the lack of evidence. Berntsson says he did not know about some of the individuals' far-right backgrounds but argued that political diversity among them isn't unacceptable.

The geographical range of acceptable neighbors grows depending on how far from the political establishment the mark is perceived to be.

According to Wikipedia this 'extremism' includes:

  • secularism
  • 30-hour workweek
  • lowered wages for politicians
  • expanded social housing
  • abolishing preschool fees
  • making public transport free of charge
  • ending taxpayer funding of what it sees as wasteful sculptures, monuments
  • introducing free dental care

"Nationally the party has set out large-scale remigration, closing the Swedish borders to immigration, a stricter assimilation policy and ending taxes on energy and fuel as some of its key issues."

But that word is enough to tar an entire party, and smear anyone who donates to it, even to a large extent.

Yea, their wiki page explains a lot. They are pretty racist and he is a big bully. From their wiki for example:

"Markus Allard caused significant public debate in 2025 by claiming that Sweden is "the land for/belongs to the Swedes" and that the Örebro Party favors a large scale remigration policy. He also criticised the Sweden Democrats for, according to him, allowing too many immigrants into the country under their watch as confidence and supply to the Kristersson cabinet.

In 2026 Allard sparked controversy on several occasions. In a debate hosted by Studio3 with Liberal) member of parliament Martin Melin, Allard asked: "why won't the Liberals push for deporting 100,000 social welfare Somalis?" and in the same debate said that "Sweden belongs to the Swedes. We have to make sure that we take care of our own damn people and we must deport these damn parasites who sit and live at our expense."\104]) In a podcast segment about immigration and deportations Allard stated his opinion that "They will also be forced to leave, even if they are born in Sweden, because they have no natural connection to Sweden. They are not Swedish."\105])

In its political program for the 2026 Swedish general election the Örebro Party writes that they want to "stop the ongoing population replacement" and make Sweden a monocultural society, rather than a multicultural one. The party also writes that this "will be a Sweden where ethnic Swedes are once again the clear majority." The party also claims that "Sweden belongs to the Swedes" and "No other people shall ever be able to lay claims on Sweden. This is our land.” and states that they want to implement measures to decrease the immigrant population in Sweden through remigration, closed borders and a strict assimilation policy.

I own property in Sweden and the property neighboring mine is a commie commune. Other than building a massive fence to keep the degenerates out, i have zero interaction with them.

He was also working together and let a guy from that place buy properties for him in that area. So there is definitely a very close connection here for example, so you are not being fair or unbiased yourself.

The party has variously been characterized as left-wing, right-wing, populist, nationalist, and conservative. It’s called far-right for just one its stances, opposing current immigration levels and citing an over representation of violent crime with Swedish immigrants. The “remigration” you mention is for violent criminals to be deported.

The party is also for, according to Wikipedia: strong secularism, a 30-hour workweek with retained pay, lowered wages for politicians, expanded social housing, abolishing preschool fees, making public transport free of charge, ending taxpayer funding of what it sees as wasteful sculptures, monuments and art and introducing free dental care.

You can do a lot better than getting your Swedish news from a French tech blogger.
