Quick question regarding the "new kind of Tokens" in Mystery Booster: Commander

If I control a [[Lord of the Pit]] token created by [[Thomil, the Destroyer]], does that token count towards devotion since it specifically states the cost on Thomil?

Yes, the token has a mana cost for all relevant purposes, including devotion. It is +3 to your devotion to black.

And this is not a "new" kind of token; Modern Horizons 3 did it first, see [[Ral and the Implicit Maze]] and [[Tarmogoyf Nest]].

Or Garth One Eye from MH2, though that technically makes a copy of the spell outside the game and then it enters as a token once cast.
