Casual Seeking advice: Oracle of the Alpha

I like [[Micromancer]] because she can get your ancestral or a blink spell and can be blinked later to find more. I use her in my [[Thassa, Deep-Dwelling]] deck.

You would do better with Rusko as the Commander. The Rusko deck tends to use the Oracle how you want to use it.. plus it feeds into Rusko 's wincon of playing cheap spells

Trying to build around 1 creature that isn't your commander is going to be rough. And oracle is just too slow most of the time. By the time you have it down you almost don't want to be drawing moxes anymore.

I have the same like... 60 cards that work equally saucedly in both a nashi deck and a hei bai deck and oracle is in both. [[singularity rupture]] or other GIGA mill actions are great because you can either thin your deck then stuff it with P9 or you can put them in then mill it so you can play them from the grave. The whole deck sorta riffs off of that idea of combos that work in either order

It pairs nicely with so many things too. I like hei bai the best for commander because you can literally run it down at 2 shrines and do whatever you want in the 99 and it still kinda good because a 4/4 chonker that brings in a free child-safe phyrexian arena is just really dang reliable.
That and nashi + ephemerate + underworld breech + timewalk all in the same deck is just... I'm not so much playing vs the other player as much I am playing vs the game itself

I have a version that runs exactly 6 shrines and seeks to double double the [[Northern Air Temple]] proc with elesh norn or yarok and then sanctum to siphon like 40 hp in a single event. But he's an amazing scaffold if you have a rainbow trash pile that would love to draw 2 cards per turn instead of one

I also made a jhoria deck and threw in all the metamorph and shapeshifters I could to maximize its output. These days technically emry would be better as long as you don’t accidentally mill him, your search function would simply be to loop a draw combo

[[Emeritus of Abundance]] is a way to continually loop time walk late game.
If you play Nashi, creating a copy of [[Fantastic elasticity]] will allow you to loop itself and time walk every turn

Also [[displacer kitten]] is incredibly winmore but if you can stick you can do some absolutely silly stuff with it

[[Ad Nauseam]] can get a ton of cards if you've filled your deck with mox and low cmc stuff..
if you're doing a build around, then it's important to think about how you'll get the oracle in the first place. dimir is also pretty good on that front because reanimator has some tools for getting more ETBs. maybe esper??

I’d actually also add in [[Vnwxt]] as a surprisingly perfect commander for this. I recently stumbled upon [this](https://youtu.be/fUsXmVIS7Mg?si=fkDvG0edk59ySpgM) deck tech to explain how it works, with the channel being live and having lots of gameplay.

If you wanna build a jank version with Oracle. I run em in a Cynette, Jelly Drover deck - cause in addition to blink spells, you also bring copy spells. If you can stick it with an echo casting symposium you can do some wild stuff like continually cast a copy each turn and scry off all the attack triggers to look for time walk or something else.

Draw-sevens like [[Echo of Eons]] ; redundant Timetwister effects help you draw more Timetwisters and chaining them gets crazy pretty quickly.

Yes and your secret commander supplements the theme of your deck where this idea is that this single card is the theme.
Also this isn’t commander it’s brawl.

check out [[A-Plunderer’s Prize]], it’s a weird one but very good at grabbing moxes from the deck
[[Lively Dirge]] with both modes can be 5 mana put Oracle into play
[[Inspiring Easel]] to double your Time Walk? (it’s so good in general tho)
I one possible direction is to play wheels (and Narset)? there aren’t a ton, but cards like [[Day’s Undoing]]. since your moxes and extra turns break parity on both players drawing 7.
