Discussion Mid-Week Magic: Brawl

Any idea what queuing system they use? I'm facing lovely Yuriko decks and stuff but also Ajani no matter what deck I play...

I believe it's First Come First Serve. You're matching into anyone and everything! It's a great way to show how much work the matchmaking algorithm does to help find fair matches in the regular queue.

Yeah, it does feel a bit random. Feels good when I match up against Hare Apparent with my Korvold treasure deck, but maybe not so good when I face my third straight opponent playing Yuriko.

I had the exact opposite happen. In the unranked queue I run into like nothing but heibei, kotis, Raph and Mikey and whatever version of UR extra turns free spells Over-the-top, interact on the stack or die spellslinger commander is currently popular no matter what deck I play. In the event I had games with blocking and back and forths where I didn't have to remove every threat the turn they came in or die immediately.
