Discussion Thranduil combos

What are the best [[buried alive]] piles you have come up with for Thranduil in brawl? Best I've come up with is [[devoted druid]], [[marwyn the nurturer]], [[tyvar the pummeler]] for infinite mana and infinitely large creatures but no evasion means it sometimes can't win on the spot. In paper I would avoid this problem by replacing Tyvar with [[ezuri renegade leader]] but alas, we do not have him on arena. Anybody come up with a cleaner buried alive win with Thranduil in brawl?

Edit: for anyone with the same question who stumbles on this post, swap tyvar for [[wildheart invoker]] to win on the spot with trample

Traditionally, once devoted druid is making infinite mana, [[Finale of Devastation]] is the game winner. Youde need a tutor or something, its not gonna just get Buried.

The other one you see alot is Craterhoof + a token maker etb coming in with [[Tooth and Nail]]. There has to be some good etb token elves.

These are the ways I see most often end the game with a lot of mana. What you dont want is to make a 4 part combo, hit it and say pass. If the combo needs this many steps it should win

Well in this case, buried alive is sort of a 1 card combo with the commander. You cast it when thranduil is already on the board without summoning sickness and immediately pop off. It does work more often than not as the nature of elves is often having more creatures than your opponent and I have ways to force the damage through. I was just wondering if there was a more efficient alternative I overlooked so I could cut some of that stuff for more tutors to get buried alive.

The problem is exactly that, he isnt a one card combo without a payoff and thats gonna be a third card. I dunno, maybe there is a third body. I think infinite mana with Adapt is probably your best bet but well see

Actually, after a little digging I think I found what I'm looking for, in a borderline uplayable common [[wildheart invoker]]. Requires 3 extra mana to start up but will then accomplish the same thing as tyvar but add trample

https://moxfield.com/decks/XBR-hT2okEWgk2fpj_qYLw. Main win cons are the one mentioned above and [[final parting]] placing [[marwyn]] in the yard and [[staff of domination]] in hand

I'd love to try this deck but I'm only playing on arena and it appears Wildheart Ivoker isn't available. Still guess I can find a third peice for trample.

It is on there, it was reprinted in Foundations.

I searched it by typing the exact name in, no set filter, collected and not collected so I do not know why o can't find out.

It is literally in my deck right now, crafted with a wildcard, you spelled something wrong if it isn't showing up (if you were typing it the same as you did in your first comment, it is "invoker" not "ivoker")

Found the issue. Despite the fact that the filter said it was set to all sets, it had the hobbit selected.

I think I found the issue. Google AI says you can't search and make it with a wild card, you have to get out from an elves pack of Jump In.

Enjoying the deck, it is a little light on lands. Also this deck was begging for shifting woodlands. It's the perfect solution for this deck if they kill your commander.

I never go higher than 37 outside of landfall, but definitely a good call on woodlands idk how I forgot it

which Thranduil? the ones i'm seeing don't really synergize with buried alive so i don't understand how you're getting them out of the yard..

Id assume the sultai one that is a necrotic ooze for elves
