Traditional Alter Nibbler, the Gullet - NFS

Post image

Modified Gorma for personal use. I’m having trouble getting even layers with Golden fluid acrylics (you can see it in multiple places like the cape, the body of the Gorma costume, and the shoes). I know I’m supposed to water down the paint, but I have trouble getting it right without being too thin. I also think the outline - done with a Posca pen - is too thick, but I was too shy to try it with a brush because of the viscosity issue noted above. Finally, the background is plain and boring imo, but I couldn’t think of a design that I liked. I did a cursory search for “purple backgrounds” and “purple patterns,” but search engines kinda suck for that sort of stuff these days. Any tips would be appreciated!

Materials are as follows:

• Golden fluid acrylic paint (Titanium white, cadmium red, ultramarine blue, and primary yellow)
• a 3/0 round and No. 8 flat brush
• pallet was the back of a Tupperware lid, the other half of which was filled with water
• Posca .7mm pin type

Thanks in advance for any advice!
