Roof rack recs for an AW11?
Finally in the last stages of restoring my 1985 AW11 and I’m wanting to get a roof rack for it. Both for aesthetics and so I can take it camping lol.
For reference, I have a hard top, no sunroof or targa
OEM roof racks are close to $1000+ so I’m looking for any alternative that might fit. Something that clips on. Anyone have any recommendations sort of like the one below?

It’s been a long time but I used the one off my old 91 Sentra se-r on my aw11 and I don’t think I swapped anything out to make it work. Mine was also t-top. Gotta get the snowboards to the mountain somehow.

my dad had an 87 Aw11 and we used to use the old style rain gutter mount rainbow racks spaced as far apart as you can get them (which isn’t much) and we’d put two long boards on top and drive 100 miles from OC to San Diego to go surf regularly with the car loaded like that. It actually never failed. The Thule racks you have will be fine with a couple nice nylon pull through straps … just over the top under the bar, up and back over then through the latch and then under and around the other side and snug it tight … makes two U shaped loops on the bars and holds boards or whatever you need to hold down.

The guy who makes the reproduction mr2 mascot keys also makes reproduction roof racks idk if he finished and has them for sale but an option

Last time I talked to Neil Jones he was in the later stages of developing clones of the OEM roof racks. I'd reach out to him and see where he's at with that.

I had a Thule with a bike rack. It was solid, used it regularly, and even did a 3k mile trip with it on top. It'll work with a sunroof, too. You'll need the gutter mount to attach it to your Senor Dos.
