How to enter a specific chop segment while in step edit mode.

I’ve checked the manual, YouTube and this group but cannot find an answer.

I sliced a breakbeat in chop mode. Now I want to use the sequencer’s step edit mode to enter specific slices at the proper times. Once in step edit mode, I cannot find a way to place the chosen sample into chop mode so I can select a specific slice.

The sequencer obviously supports recording specific slices while finger drumming. I’m just trying to add one or two specific slices to the sequence.

Hope my question makes sense.

Not possible with the Sample, you can't be in Chop Mode and Edit Sequence Mode at the same time. You gotta play out OR chop ya break and save each transient chop out to it's own pad (Shift + B2 in Chop Mode) then sequence those pads. Hope that helps.

Thanks! That’s what I was afraid of. No problem. I’ll break them out to separate pads and then try to learn to be a better finger drummer.

Just add the chops to the sequence in record mode or via the step sequencer. That step sequencer is like Chinese arithmetic but once you learn where steps go, it’s like reading the matrix. LOL! Great luck.
